And due to what’s been revealed about the Foundation & award (like the Charities For Vets info), it’s a good thing, in that the truth about it has been made more known to the public. What Charities For Vets shows: “Based on its 2022 tax return, we calculate that the Pat Tillman Foundation spent 73.4% percent of its $5.1 million budget on overhead. I think Pat Tillman’s mother does not want Harry to receive the award period! Her request should be honored. Now ESPN is trying to placate her. Just do what she wants! If Harry received this award it will forever be meaningless!

If there is a list of Top 10 bad Sussex ideas, accepting this award is right at the top. It's disgraceful and disgusting. Whoever at ESPN decided on Harry for this is either on the take or just plain stupid. Mrs. Tillman has already had her say about this and it wasn't in favor. The best thing they can do is back down from this. But they won't and they'll end up regretting it for the rest of their lives.

I find it appalling what they are doing to Mrs Tillman. Harry should NOT accept this award, but allow an Invictus competitor to accept it. Also, the Meg shouldn't have any part of any presentation.😡

I think this award for Harry & Meghan will backfire on him and ESPN. Not all publicity is good regardless of what some people say. I think many will boycott them and everything else associated with these toxic people and companies. The public is the consumer and what we think DOES matter.

It's not about Harold at all. It's only, ever, about another chance for her to commandeer a stage and grab a mic. *Mary Tillman doesn't want her son's memory and legacy used for a cheap PR stunt for a desperate pair.*

Wild horses couldn't make Mrs.Tillman stand on the same stage as Harry, or indeed Meghan, after what they've done.

The Pat Tillman award is actually for heroes!!! Not Herry.

He needs to leave her alone, make the sugars stand down as far as Mrs Tillman is concerned. Who does he think he is? He should have as much respect for Mrs. Tillman as he does his own mother, allegedly. Please leave her alone. As for the award, stolen valor on his part. Its a joke, he doesn't deserve it. Harry not only isn't backing off but including Meghan. One horrible action after another. Are we supposed to forget about how these two disrespect the veterans, care nothing about the Baka people, lie in court, destroy evidence, abuse elders and children, and so on, Not to mention the grifting. Harry and Meghan did NOT bow out gracefully when they left the RF and the UK, so we can't expect Harry to bow out gracefully now.

If Harry had an ounce of respect for others, he would decline the award. The award should go to an American helping American veterans.

How on earth would they think that Mrs Tillman would want to appear on the stage with either Harry or his wife.

There is no way on God’s green earth he should receive this award!!

If Harry had any dignity, he'd refuse to accept this award. There's no way Mary Tillman is going to help that fraud. He owes her an apology for using her dead sons memory for his own PR gain. It's disgusting.

Pat Tillman's mother comes across as a woman of integrity and I don't see her allowing that kind of manipulation merely as a futile attempt to prop up the never ending H&M debacles.....

If this was Diana (Harry’s mother) he would be outraged and want to sue someone. But Harry has no problem disrespecting OTHER people’s mother. He’s a disgusting hypocrite.

I dont believe that Ms. Tillman will agree to present an award that she is so sad and angry about. I hope she doesn't. And Meghan has absolutely no place there. Many of us are saddened and/ or angry at another travesty. It's shameful.

Meghan will be on stage same as she walked in front of the veterans in shorts and lanky legs, of all the accolades harry has got , not deserving of course, she is always, always there at the front, even pushing people out of the way to get centre stage. Harry is just living off her coat tails, he thinks she's magnificently strong which he isn't, I've seen it in ordinary people, they love the adulation their spouse brings. Ms Tillman, who carried and gave birth to her son, raised him to be the wonderful man he was, named him Patrick and loved him for 27 years (not 2 years as his former wife) will not walk on any stage in life with Meghan Markle, who brought nothing but misery to Queen Elizabeth's life. And to ask her to join Harry - no.

I think his problem is he listens to her instead of his advisors. She hasn't got a good record for making great decisions.

I don't believe Henry wants Rachel with him. I think Rachel is making him take her!! They need to leave Pat Tillman's mother alone, she voiced her opinion and they should at least respect her! Asking her to stand with them is like slapping her in the face again!!! Everyone knows they want her just for pr, nothing else. If they really cared about her, Henry would of turned down that award!! She can't stand that he is getting all the attention, she will probably insist on giving it to him, or walking up with him, but there is no way she is letting him get on that stage without her. Either way, it is disgusting that he is even considered for that award!!

He should have put out “privately by a close source”as soon as he was told that he would get the award that he wasn’t deserving and surely there is an American war hero more fitting for such an award, there wouldn’t have been any petition or backlash

Have ESPN lost their minds? It seems so. Mary Tillman, a Gold Star Mother, isn't going to want to stand next to a man who appears to be the opposite of what her son's life and sacrifice stands for. If H was smart, he would do as you and others have suggested and have an Invictus Medalist accept the award, or even the Chairman. But it seems H is determined to do the wrong thing and is actually keen to push his wife, *who has done nothing* to support veterans, onto the stage.

Kaysee here ... if Pat Tillman's mother was unhappy about Harry picking up this award, I doubt very much her being invited on stage with the gruesome twosome would placate her or her family. Whoever thought of that idea should have their head read. If this is the best their publicity team can come up with... time to change your publicity team!!!

They are going to try to force this grieving mother to do what they want instead of honoring her wishes. You never stop grieving, you remain protective. I would be upset like her as well. Shame on those graceless sort of Royal grifters.
