That was one of the most exciting test runs for me so far! The mod is great, I like that it's expandable, what's the limit of trailers? The displayed texts are nice too! Thanks for the video!

That's hilarious how small those trailers are😆😆😆
Are you also making a long version of the trailer?

What kind of cooling system is on there to where it doesn't overheat? Or is there a special one installed?

I can't quite remember, but I do believe I added a stronger radiator yes :)
You should do a remake of the movie Duel

that is a pretty cool movie :D
Where did you get those little stubby trailers at? Are they yours? Also... you ever considered updating your Moonhawk? It's one of my favorite cars in game for making configs, and there's really no good mods for it sadly.
@CrashHard

I started this mod when I had a break from youtube, and it is made from the dryvan trailer that is in the game :) And about the moonhawk mod, I may redo that in the future.

@@CrashHard so they're your custom trailers then. Thank you. Do you know of any good tutorials for making custom, or should I say, customizing say, vanilla frames in game? I want to take the back portion of the D-Series truck frame and "C-Notch" it, so instead of the frame being straight from the cab back, it would kick up at where the rearend of the drivetrain is to make room for the whole rearend (gears, pumpkin, axels) to be able to move when the truck is lowered. Usually you can only lower the D-Series so far and then the rearend ends up hitting the frame, the front will lay on the ground, but the rear is hindered by the frame. So what's done IRL is what's called a "C-Notch" and it'll allow the rear of the truck to go as low as the front. I remember a premade mod that had one of the frames notched, but it doesn't work anymore and I believe it was only one of the frames. I'd like to do it with most if not all the D-Series' frames so that I can build a cool low D-Series dually or otherwise that'll actually drive with body just an inch or so off the ground while still having the rear suspension working. Wouldn't be too worried about the frame clipping through the bed, but cutting the bed away to make room for the C-Notch could be another project. 😂

@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 about modding, I would just start looking at other people's mods to see how that was done and learn from there. That is how i started.

I'm not an expert but I think the easiest way would be use the editor (F11) to get the parts close, then use the coupling option in the menu 🙂

@@will.dornon It was a combination of modifying the dryvan trailer and making some parts myself, and a lot of work on the J-beam structure (the physics skeleton for the trailer)
Again very bad physics - low speed and truck's front wheels in the air - check 2:40 or 3:40. Did You drove real truck ? IMHO, CoG is too far back.
@CrashHard

Have you driven a truck with overhang in the rear like that, and having it be heavy loaded. You can't compare this with reality, they would never load up trucks like this.
@fordservice8593

@@CrashHard If it is a simulation, it must simulate reality. And this video is very far from the reality. Move CoG more forward, it should help.
@CrashHard
3 жыл бұрын
@@fordservice8593 so if you loaded up a real truck 10 tons on and behind the rear axles it would not act like this? When you understand how this physics engine calculates the CoG you would understand that you can't just move it to where you want.
@fordservice8593

@@CrashHard It is good known common mistake use one point load for all structure in simulation programs. If You will load that truck with 10 tons behind rear axle, in real simulation program You will see frame bend to the ground. That load is simply unrealistic. Do not use 1 load 10 tons, but 10 loads one ton spreaded on all flatbed's length. Or use volume load, if simulation engine support it.
@CrashHard
3 жыл бұрын
@@fordservice8593 The 10 ton stuff is just an example, it you see all of the video you will see how it is loaded. and maybe have a look at this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/goGhlY-sdrGakdI.html
