Thankfully it missed our area completely, but this week we’re asking for prayers for the people in Louisiana who took the full force of the storm. It’s going to take a long time before they can get back to normal.
This week's tutorial is one that we called the “Suspension Knot Fishtail Braid”. We chose this style because it’s an excellent example of combining techniques to create something unique and beautiful. This is not our original style, I was inspired by a video that I saw somewhere. I snapped a screenshot but couldn’t find it again. So if you know who created it, please let us know so we can credit them. Great hairstyle!!! But I'd have to do it with just regular braiding as I'd be doing it on myself and my fine, fine hair just doesn't do a herringbone very well.

Well done, your daughter’s hair has grown so much over the years! The thickness is just perfect. I can’t believe there is no breakage or fly aways. My daughter just had me cut her long hair to the shoulder. 😢. It does look beautiful, and she is very happy with the change. My own hair is to the lower back (24” definitely thin), it would be awesome if you could do a couple examples working on your own hair.
Oooooh, this is AMAZING!! When finished it looks like it'd be so complicated but it really isn't. Or maybe you just make it LOOK easier because you explain it so well. I LOVE this one!

Absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait to try it. On a side note, what do you use to smooth out frizz and flyaways? I have a horrible time with braid shred, even though my hair is not layered. It’s just that frizzy.

I mostly use a hair gel or pomade to tame frizz :) I recently purchased this dry oil spray by Tresemme and it's amazing! It really smooths out my hair and makes it behave the way I want it to
