It's always enjoyable watching a master do things correctly. Note that when did the parries, he kept his rear hand on his hip. This is the only way a parry can work. Otherwise, you're just stirring air.

I’m under Eisuke Akamine’s lineage and we don’t do Shushi No Kon, just the sho and dai. But I’ve seen Hiroshi do this Kata twice on KZread, here and another video. My question is, which one is the correct way? There are some differences and I’m not sure which one to follow. Thank you for you help :). I hope I get to meet him one day!

@@evgenyrybin2394 yea this is the koryu version of shushi, but what I mean is I’ve seen him do this original Kata on another video and he seemed to have done the ending slightly different. I know the sho and dai version so I know it wasn’t either of those. The other video was in front of a crowd so I wasn’t sure if he did it different to not let anyone copy or something.

there are different versions of this kata, a lot of time has passed and there are many different lines of Kobudo masters, the original, as I understand it, is in Yamanni Ryu and Ufutiku Kobudo

@@evgenyrybin2394 nice! I have never heard of Ufutiku kobudo. I will have to look into that system and check them out. Thank you for the great insight!
