We got about 3 pages into the rule book and we were all lost. Watched your tutorial and, boom, ready to play. I guess we're visual learners. (Or that rule book isn't as clear as it could be.) Thank you, we really enjoyed our first game today, looking forward to playing more. Cute game, great tutorial.

Rule book is very unclear. 'Shuffle the dessert cards and place them aside". Except all the dessert cards are all the same, so why would you shuffle them? Do you mean the left over dessert cards? "Then add the desert cards back into the deck". But you just asked me to set them aside??

Do you have “Sushi Go” or “Sushi Go Party”?
I'm so thankful for everyone who makes these board game videos! This was super helpful and we were able to play an entire game through with zero problems. Thanks!
Thank you for demonstrating the Miso Soup. That one was a bit confusing at first. Loved Sushi Go! This one looks even more fun!
Best explanation video I’ve seen on KZread. Merci from France
Took this game off our unplayed pile today and watched your video before we played the first game. You made the first game a breeze, we'll be back to watch the next one about the special cards soon. Thank you for these videos they b sometimes work so much better than a book.

Awesome! Hopefully you’ll like the game.
Loved the video mate, the only thing I would change is whenever everyone is flipping the cards simultaneously it is customary to say “1…2…3 Sushi Go!”
BTW there is no second video..... don't waste your time looking for one.

Thanks for the easy explanation. The example round was a huge help
This was a much needed explainer. Cool little game, those instructions are tricky.
A wonderful tutorial. Thank you. Very clear and well spoken. I ended up buying the game after watching this. The gloves are a bit distracting however, lol. Otherwise, fantastic!
I haven't played this game for a while and returned for a refresher. Love the thorough explanation so thank you! I can't find the follow-up video that explains the special cards
Great video, easy to understand. Thanks so much!
Excellent tutorial. Great presentation and easy explanation.
This was very very helpful. Thank you!

Just got this game, thanks for the tutorial found the rulebook confusing. Your box looks like it has way more sorting slots then the one I got, just has ones for apps, specials, desserts etc. Yours looks a lot easier to find all the cards needed quickly.
Good tutorial.

Really liked the video thanks for doing it! I actually liked the gloves. Not that it was intended to be that way but it helped me figure out who the different players were and follow the movement of the cards (some reviews I've seen say that they cards go left then right then left again which was throwing me off).

Cardboard Stacker have you posted I️t????
After round 1, you set the played dessert cards to the side. But the other played cards, do you reshuffle those back into the main deck and redistribute again? If so, does that mean that there may be a game where not all the dessert cards are played (aka, there will be some left in the main deck by the end of round 3).
@thecardboardstacker
7 жыл бұрын
Yes. Everything but the played dessert cards that are played gets reshuffle for the next round. Not all dessert cards will appear in certain games because of distribution with player counts and the left over cards that do not go in a round.
Hi. After the first round do we shuffle the played cards back to the deck and distribute for the 2nd round?
Hey, I wanted to thank you for your helpful video, you did an amazing job explaining the game. Now my girlfriend and I are love with this game.
Are gloves included in the game?
You had the wrong side of the Maki tile face-up, as you said you were playing a 4-person game, but otherwise, I thought your tutorial was easy to understand.
Can you score Uramaki "during the round" if it is the final card of the round that gives you the 10 or more uramaki to get 8 points or would that be classed as "end of the round"? How would the points be awarded in this scenario. John and Paul both have 9 Uramaki. They both flip the final card of the round John flips over 3 Uramaki and Paul flips over 4 Uramaki. Thanks
Do you have tutorials for more difficult meals?

Thank you for this well explained video! Between sushi go and sushi go party which of the 2 do you suggest? Or do you recommend both to get?
@thecardboardstacker
5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Nehiel. So it depends on your group/playstyle. Personally, I'd get Party just because it has so much more stuff in it. If you don't want to hassle to set up, then get original Suchi Go.
Can you play the old game with this one? Or do I have to buy both 😂
@thecardboardstacker

Both games are not compatible together, but they follow the same base rules. Sushi Go Party is it’s own game.
If we discard the miso, do I put them back in the deck after I discarded or are they out?
@thecardboardstacker
Жыл бұрын
Discarded miso are set aside and are returned to the deck for the next round.
So we have to discard one card to be placed on the board at the beginning of the game?
@thecardboardstacker

Those aren't the cards in the game, but rather reference tokens. They are thicker, smaller, and printed differently than the actual cards.
Where is the follow up video for special cards?
And also at 6:32 there was the last sashimi card he needed
The dessert card is so confusing to me. You add 5 in the first round. Then 3 in the second. Do the original 5 dessert cards stay in the deck? Or do you remove them? Thanks for any help!

Yes, you only add cards, no need to pick them out.

*Hi. What will be the number of dessert cards for 2 & 3 players?*

How do you know how many steps you go around the board?
@thecardboardstacker

The steps are your point tracker. After each round you score your cards and move your pieces by the number of your score.

Just so you know when you take a wasabi card the nigiri card has to he taken on the NEXT turn to get the points. Great video
@willnye9788
5 жыл бұрын
That's what I thought too but in the instructions it states the next Nigiri (anyone you decide to put down that round). I suppose you could twist the rules (house rules) meaning the player has to choose a Nigiri next turn since they played the Wasabi? If they don't get a Nigiri at all then they could try another move perhaps but they took a risk. Would make the game more challenging and strategic.
Fun game, but I found calculating the score for some cards confusing
1) Why the gloves? 2) Do you always deal counter-clockwise? Just curious.
@thecardboardstacker
8 жыл бұрын
1) Gloves? It's a fashion style choice. That's all and thanks for asking ;) 2) The counter clockwise was a mistake. I didn't realized until editing and couldn't retake it.
@larrye

I don't care about the gloves from a fashion sense. I was just worried you were wearing them because I've read reviews that say the cards are cheap stock and I was wondering if you were wearing the gloves to avoid damaging these flimsy cards?
@thecardboardstacker
7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lawrence and thanks for your question. To answer it, I wear glove simply because it is a style and I believe it makes me stand out from other reviewers.The card for Sushi Go Party is not the greatest of quality, but they are plastic coated with a linen finish and does not effect game play. I never had a problem with these cards when playing Sushi Go Party with my game group and I don't have gloves on to play with low quality cards.
@joetaptaco

Dealing counter-clockwise would be fitting as this game takes some of its inspiration from Mahjong where you deal and play counter-clockwise
@thecardboardstacker
7 жыл бұрын
I normally deal clockwise but I'm not sure why I dealt the hands counter-clockwise. It so happens that I do play Mahjong with my family but I rarely do other games going that direction.

Hmm... I did a bit of research. My is a US 2016 edition and I got it new. Yours may have been a different edition with another insert.
I think he got one of the card wrong because in one of the places 2:53 look at the Rolls it says 6-8 player and I think he said he was playing 2-5 or 4: I have the same game(:
@thecardboardstacker
2 жыл бұрын
This was done on purpose to show both pieces of information when playing with different player coutns. To be clear, 6-8 players: 7 in Round 1, 5 in Round 2, and 3 in Round 3. 2-5, it's 5 in Round 1, 3 in Round 2, and 2 in Round 3.
Why gloves ? My kids wanted to know :)

First, it was a style I kept in the early years of the channel (they got expensive since they only last a couple of filming sessions. The other is that they were shown to tell the pl;players a part in the demonstration.

It is not. The main difference between this and the original card game is there are many other cards to select from. You don’t have just one deck of one type of Sushi Go game, you in fact hundreds of different games.

First minute of the video can be entirely skipped. It was added to increase the length for ads I imagine as the video is barely over 10 minutes. I won't be watching another video because the creators should respect the viewers time, and 10% of a video being filler is not a respect of my time. Edit: Really the first 2 minutes can be skipped as it's mostly filler too.
