Directed by Darren Hutchinson, this crime documentary covering one of the worst miscarriages of justice in British History, the case of Susan May. May was convicted of murdering her elderly aunt Hilda Marchbank in 1992 after she was found beaten and suffocated in her home.
May maintained her innocence throughout the 12 years she spent in prison, despite warnings that she would not be released by the parole board unless she showed remorse. When May was eventually freed in 2005, she continued her battle to clear her name. Sadly, she lost her battle with breast cancer and died on 12 October 2013.
For her family and friends, there was never any question that they wouldn't carry on the fight, and the fight to clear her name continues.

What a horrible, horrible story!!! Where was the justice for this woman AT ALL during this whole case???!! And then she dies of cancer before her name gets cleared - REALLY??!! What a pile of garbage their justice system is!!!
Lawsuit! Compensation for pain, suffering, wrongful conviction from a flawed system that couldn't admit wrong!
Heartbreaking. And infuriating. It's obvious.

This was just laziness of investigators particularly the lead Detective. The amount of Real evidence that should have been investigated screams for attention...🥴😵💫😵🧐

What an absolutely awful thing to happen to such a nice person. It's true what we hear about certain police, they don't care who they get locked up as long as they get someone. Utter Bastards
If you lie about one thing, you would lie about everything. This is the mindset of LEO’s and prosecutors and they will use it against you. Shut your mouth ask for an attorney and follow his/her advice. Remember that phone conversations and interrogation rooms are monitored.
