Nothing special guys! I give them credit for playing real instruments and not using auto tune, but c’mon! They were ok at best. As a musician myself, I can tell you that Ms. Susan is the most talented of the bunch. The piano player doesn’t have enough knowledge of his instrument, or craft to push and encourage the band. He probably just learned this chord progression and decided to record thinking he had it down and no one would notice. He didn’t play any other inversions of the chord changes to match the notes she was singing. Only root chords. He didn’t follow the singer, or lead the rest of the band. The bass player had no “feel”, or sense of timing. Sounded like he was stabbing the notes. The guitar player was the same as the piano player, but was the most professional. He laid back and followed the singer. Should’ve let him take a solo, because the piano player didn’t play a single pretty note. That said, Susan didn’t sing anything that was very special. Not original, nor unique. Especially being a sista… Kinda sounded like John Legend a bit. Sorry for the honesty guys, but you need to practice some more. Susan you should find a new band, because you are very talented and have good pitch control and smooth approach. If you have the right piano player/arranger it would work wonders for your future. All the greats had great pianists/arrangers from Aretha Franklin to Barbra Streisand, to Marvin Gaye, to Sinatra and the list goes on and on. In hindsight, keep practicing, studying your instrument, honing your talent and never give up!

Susan magically popped up on my Spotify when I was listening to Cynthia Evivo & I am absolutely amazed!!!! She sound is so current yet vintage and I just get my life. She’s refreshing controlled & timeless… definitely a fan
