Survivors of 9/11 share their stories- Part 1 | EF Explore America & The 9/11 Tribute Museum

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11, EF Explore America is proud to work with our partners at the 9/11 Tribute Museum in New York City to feature speakers who survived the attacks on that fateful day.
In this first session, listen to two personal and emotional stories from Jeanette Gutierrez, who was working in the World Financial Center across the street from the North Tower, and Desiree Bouchat, who was a consultant with Aon Corporation working in the South Tower on that day.
The speakers hope to ensure that the world understands the impact of September 11th and feel it’s their duty as survivors to speak for those who can no longer speak for themselves, honoring those that were lost.
Watch and listen as Desiree and Jeanette share their firsthand accounts of what happened that fateful day and how their lives have changed since. These powerful and emotional stories help the memory of 9/11 live on for future generations.

The top of this demolished building, using the French method where no explosives are used, falls completely off. But on WTC2 (the South Tower) the top starts to fall off, but then the rug is pulled out from under its feet and the top descends without falling completely off. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4iKuqpylK3QmLg.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/qYaa0sp8fNe7haw.html

@@davidmudry5622that building was on fire all day, it was going fall down no matter what anyone did. It’s a cowardly act to post links to conspiracy videos like you did. It’s also an insult to all those who lost their lives in the planes, in the buildings, on the ground and from health issues since. Put the bong or glass pipe away and steel help.

It’s really important to not forget about this day. It’s crazy it’s been 22 years already and theirs a generation of people that don’t know what it was like. I make sure I tell my kids about the importance of 9/11.

Hey James. You're so right on all points. First, the 22 years that've somehow nearly passed. Second, the importance of ensuring future generations know about it. It's so crazy as you say that there are now whole generations who don't really know or feel anything about it. We must be getting old, which is a privilege I guess!! Hope you and yours are well 👍

All buildings taller than 40 stories should be required to have parachutes in them and be replaced every 6months to make sure they are good to go. Obviously it's dangerous to try to jump from that height but anything would be betterthan watching people fall to their death. Imagine hoow beautiful it would have been to see those people falling to safety with parachutes instead of what happened

Even better there should be a 100 foot high soft sponge blown out around the perimeter of the building (like a bouncy castle) that opens up in seconds….900/1000 foot long and 100 foot tall. Parachutes wouldn’t work you have to be at least sky level, thats why there designed for planes not for buildings, there’s a possibility they wouldn’t open up in time or they just wouldn’t open up because of the surrounding buildings stopping it for opening up, too risky.

I understand what first lady means by a "small boom." I was in BMCC that morning, 5 blocks north on Chambers st. The first plane crashing we heard but didn't know what it was, we all assumed it was a really bad accident on the west side highway. The second plane hitting sounded like a small boom, a mini version of the first crash we thought was a car crash. Some of us giggled cause it sounded comically small compared to the first. So when I finally thought about it later on I figured the sound was masked by the fact that the south tower had been hit on the south face while the north tower was hit on the north face, so that one, since we were north of the towers, was way louder to us. She has confirmed this for me since she had the same thing happen to her cause for her it was reversed. She heard a small boom from the North tower because the buildings masked the volume.

I have never heard anyone else say (8:37) that building security wouldn't let anyone in after 8.45 as most started at 9. Is this true? If so, what would be the point ? How could people conduct business properly if security clock-watched like that? Also, why hasn't anyone else mentioned it if it saved them?
