@Wizardylan Well I think there weren't any animal shots in HvV because the focus for the season wasn't really on the location. As for this intro, maybe they just wanted to do scenery because the intro wasn't going to be used much.

How could ANYONE complain about this intro? It's great! It has the perfect balance of challenge shots and survival shots.

@ryanlifts100 Not exactly. It was said that Albert and Sophie did the strategic thinking. The only time they split was when Coach ousted Mikayla. Which is why he didn't target Albert or Sophie afterwards, because they were still allies. Sophie didn't ride his coattails because the alliance was mutual. Sophie saw that Coach was a hyprocrite, and Albert was fake, so she stuck to the plan, and won. Rick was the coattail rider, and look where he ended up. Sophie also won key challenges

@crapolaist Whatever way you can win, is the game. You dont have to be social, in the traditional way, if you can stay immune and at the same time get votes in the end - and thats why redemption Island was perfect for Ozzy.

@MsMarc1234 Ozzy had no way of making it to the Final 3 without immunity, therefore, his social game was bad. It's funny really. Ever since He-who-must-not-be-named appeared, there has been so much focus on the jury, that now people are forgetting that you have to be in good with the people still in the game to win also. Relying on immunity is a very high risk - if not outright bad - strategy in Survivor.

I would say that before the merge, it is right to vote out the weakest player but after the merge,It is right to vote out the strongest player as if the strongest player won all games, he might be ended up like Rusell(no votes for him for the 1million dollars)in Survivor Heroes vs Villains.

Some people (not me) believe there are "clues" in each season's opening credits that tip you off as to who will win. A few seasons ago, some were convinced a certain player would win because the intro showed that survivor surrounded by flames (fire=life in the game) while everyone else had water. So, I wonder what they'll make of Brandon being shown last, separated from the rest of his tribe by the sign that says "One survivor" ?

I love the music! I love the beat, the drums, the chants, etc. Great job, Mr. Landau!

I like Ozzy too, and people saying he had a bad social game is ridicules - even tho he got voted out alot he had ALL the votes if he made the final. He just couldnt handle it on the last challenge, he said so himself. Sophie is a very deserved winner of the peop,e who was left, but she didnt beat Ozzy, Ozzy beat himself.

@crapolaist The fact that he didnt win isnt relevant. He needed to win the last challenge, and he would have won the game. The jury would have voted for him, they did a vote in the studio in the reunion(but as Jeff said: "Not like that is any suprise"). I never said he deserved it. please quote me(Which i know you cant, as you are obviously making this up for lack of better argument).

This intro was from Episode 1 before he established his name preference. All intros after Episode 1 changes his name to Cochran. On a side note, I hate people who go on Survivor using stupid nicknames.

@MRredhotlava lol. Sophie is not one of the greatest winners ever. She is an average winner. She didn't read the jury correctly. She has said she was shocked when at the beginning of the FTC Ozzy said it was Coach's to lose. To be considered one of the greatest you have to read the jury correctly before the FTC. She's a good player, but not in the same league as Heidik, Earl, and Danni Boatwright.

Is Samoa really that scarce of animals? Out of all 3 seasons filmed in Samoa (Samoa, HvV & this one), there was only 1 animal iirc!

Pre-merge: One of the best tribe games I've seen. Each tribe was nearly even, and no one really dominated challenges, causing many nail-biters. Plenty of great moves, and most of the challenges were new and interesting. Post-merge: Not as great. After Cochran flipped, the boot order became extremely predictable. Many of the interesting people were on Savai'i, leaving us with a potentially boring season. The last two episodes barely made up for it, making the season "good" but not "great".

@Sliacen i totally agree. pre-merge was incredibly spectacular for a season with newbies. elyse blindside, the stacey outbursts... edna slipping through to the merge... post-merge cochran flip was THE highlight though. that move, along with a solid pre-merge, saved this from becoming a mediocre season. last few episodes were predictable but tolerable still. just imagine, almost every episode of the previous season was like the last five episodes of this season. last season was painful to watch.

@crapolaist It does matter if you want to discuss his game - but i guess you dont. It was his own fault - again you are not really arguing anything I said. Last time he was down to the last challenge, he overcame the pressure and pulled it off, but he hadnt secured the votes, so this time he secured the votes, but he couldnt handle the pressure. Great game, bad preformance in the end, this time.

@TheOutbackProduction I totally missed Keith's beard! That's a good clue right there. I also try to see if they show someone only in a challenge from the first episode. Those people may not go as far and they're limited in the images they can use in the opening credits.

useless? she beat Ozzy fair and square and the only person in her alliance that is capable to do so. and she controlled coach+albert the entire game

i thought sophie was a great winner too. very underrated by casual fans because she got outshone by the ozzy/coach/cochran OTT edit. but in terms of the season itself it wasnt good it wasnt shitty either it was meh cos for me it was a little too predictable

LOVE: Sophie, Edna, Dawn, Cochran HATE: Ozzy (He was an entitled douche, not unlike his other two times) As for the rest of them, I was mostly indifferent. I went through periods of like for Jim, Whitney, Albert, and Christine.

This season had a lot of risky moves.One of my fav..! and if Dawn went to F3,She would win..! Strong Woman but still,Sophie deserve it.!

@vanmatos89 He didnt need to get to the final 3 without immunity if he didnt froze on the last challenge. Getting votes is part of his social game - and this is how Ozzy plays, and he have been succesful, and probably the player who have been closest without winning twice. I prefer watching Ozzy's game, entertainment wise, to any of the players who made the final 3

I think she's the first since Tina w/ all that criteria Vecepia played a subtle game Jenna and Sandra(PI) won on good relationships on the jury Amber won because Rob pissed too many jurors Danni didn't control the game until final 6 Parvati and Natalie fits in to the "pretty/barbie girl" category Sandra (HvV) won because she was always against Russell

Sophie was a bland character because of her minimal edit, but pretending her win was anything short of fantastic is ridiculous. Of course they showed her as following Coach when he was the returning player with the bigger personality. She was at the end with two returning players and a Hantz - there was no way she'd get an edit that gave her the credit she deserved.

@crapolaist If I started the insults, how come you cant reference the comment where I started it? Look at the posts. I did, in a polite manner, answer all you arguments, before your comments stopped containing arguments, and started only being about insults, because you had no more arguments. I have proven that Ozzy had a good game, but choked. All you said was that he didnt deserve it, which isnt really relevant, but I guess that is what you gotta do when you run out of arguments

I can't stand Brandon, and as much as I want Jim or Fawn or Keith to win. I think Coach or Albert have it in the bag.

Why? Redemption Island was so much better than this one because of Rob's perfect game. I saw 10 times more gameplay in that season than I ever did in this. In this one it was all about winning the challenges and that's it. That's what I call boring.

First of all, redemption island should have never been used as a concept, whatsoever. Basically worst thing ever in survivor history. Plus, why would you bring two former contestans back, i mean how unfair is that. They could have done a regular season like the first ones. 16 people only, surviving for 39 days and a final two and that's all.

One World is worse.

a very disppointing season as it became very predictable through the final 5 or 6 episodes. it became more of a religious game rather than a strategic game (not that i'm against religion). but its survivor, not church. i found that religion was overused and morals and ethics became the primary concern which is hardly ever the case in survivor.

Boring fucking season overall but Sophie was great.
