Rana bhai, I'm glad you found the room. I live in the USA and go on road trips on my motorcycle. Usually, I plan my day by checking hotels in advance that are within 200, 300, or 400 miles and also check the prices and their room availability trend on the same day. In the afternoon, I book based on how far I've traveled. Since the USA and Canada are huge, it's important to plan ahead in case we end up in the middle of nowhere. Hey bud, glad you found the room. Just be cautions for the rest of your trip. The route you’re taking to go down to Kamloops has a lot of pipeline construction. Most little towns are occupied by pipeline workers and tourists. When you entered BC, you pretty much followed the pipeline row on either side of the highway. If you look closely you’ll see pipeline signs. I’m assuming you’re going to Vancouver afterwards, you’re gonna run into the same issue so be caution. And gas up anytime you come to a town. And avoid riding at dusk, a lot of wild life is active at that time. Cheers and best of luck. If I knew you were coming I would’ve loved to join you.

Absolutely, it is hard to drive on highways due to couple of reasons mainly as 1) Deer's could suddenly come on road, 2) consistent driving on same speed straight sometimes makes you sleepy. Regards from Toronto.

In retrospect, your situation reminds me of our trip to Chicago. We were students; we had not much money to book an Airbnb. So we had to spend the whole night in dunkin donuts. One of the amazing nights in the USA. Also, we were used to spending homeless nights on airports, metro stations, bus stations, parks etc just to save some bucks 😅

Other people dont expect you to make sudden moves and its a good idea to keep a safe distance from other vehicles specifically while changing lanes and overtaking. Jasper is a very small town and the hotels gets sold out months in advance. You should plan better for rest of the trips. Same would be the case for any remote places you may want to visit in Canada.
