I've just been foraging for 2 hours. I got wild garlic, elderflower, nettles, lambs quarters and dandelion leaves.

Is that the same as the stinging nettle? I made the mistake in touching one in Ireland and my thumb went numb. I think it’s great that you can find things to eat out there.

@@irishsakura1 Yes it's stinging nettles, but I used gloves. I'll dry it for tea. I got wild mint and wild fennel last week too.

I saw wild roses and lime tree flowers too. I'll go back mid week for those, as I need to process the nettles, elderflower and wild garlic.

That's some awesome camping there❤. Out under the stars. And that spin drill!🤯😲 Wow. I definitely gotta try that. Luxon, thank you for putting the ingredients to your soup in the description. That is one I definitely wrote down. Looked like cowboy soup.😋 Now can you please tell me what kind of strapping do you use for your tripod? And can you reuse it after it's been over a fire like that? And have you ever successfully caught anything with a snare like that? Also, if you had a choice of one single tool to take with you out in the wilderness, which would you take? Sorry for all the questions. Love learning the survival techniques. Might need those soon. But I do miss watching you build too. Nobody does it better. Glad to see you my friend.😁👋

Hi Anna! Thanks for watching! A pump drill is much simpler than a bow drill. Try it, you will have fun! I used woven tape for the tripod (you can use any strong tape, even clothes tape) and left the tripod up for future use. Next time I will use it for an armchair. It is big so the fire did not damage it. I like knowing how to make traps, but I never use them for hunting. Have a great weekend Bradley s !

Lux! Your'e covering the spectrum! In this one your effective use of the three classic tools - axe, knife, drawsaw - goes beyond expectations showing that mastering simplicity is a true art. Your camp was impeccably functional and utilitarian which is a theme that permeates even your most complex builds!!! In quiet unison with your environment, you make it possible for everyone to see and feel how important it is for us to be a part of nature in a fundamental way. Thank you for pointing out that using traps to obtain nourishment is _not_ a game. (By the way, that was an extremely effective and well-executed design, a variation and Improvement on one that I use and which I shall adopt). Thank you as well for setting an excellent example by quickly dismantling it after you were done demonstrating. Everything well done my friend - you're an inspiration! ❤ 🙏🏻 🌠

Hi Luxon ,l have a question. Being a country boy did you learn alot of your knowledge from grandparents? I didn't grow up in the country, but my grandmother who raised me did.l learned the old ways & still practice alot of it today.Tried &true.lf you were lucky enough to have a relationship with grandparents you are blessed &probably has to do with who you are today.l wouldn't trade my time with my granny for all the money in the world!!!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪🐕🐕🐕

Hallo Walter! Danke fürs zuschauen! Ich baue gerne Fallen, verwende sie aber nicht bei Tieren. Ich sorge sogar dafür, dass Lajka dann nicht da ist. Auf der linken Hand ist eine Eule im Profil tätowiert, ich liebe dieses Tier. Und auf der rechten Seite steht das Zeichen OM im griechischen Schlüssel. Jedes dieser beiden Symbole hat seine eigene Bedeutung. Das kann man im Internet nachlesen. Für mich ist dieses Tattoo eine Erinnerung an meine innere Stärke!
