Thanks Dan, the tone of the scammers was just "not your style". Confirmed by your wonderful staff. I mean do you really want to know how old I am? Maybe I should have sent a pick of my white bearded grizzled look...

Well, they almost got me! Too insistent for my credit card number; made me too uncomfortable for it to be legit. But it was sure tempting when they were saying I won +$1k worth of stuff from the Coalcracker Store in addition to the Ghillie Kettle!
The original is called a Kelly Kettle, first made by an Irish family in Australia. They turned out to be so handy that the Australian government commissioned them to be made for the anzac soldiers during the world wars.

@@onionhead5780 Ghillie Kettle is a competitor to them but Ghillie makes them from aluminium
The Kelly was used since the 1800's in Scotland up on the mounds for hunting parties because the wind never stops, making an open fire too dangerous. I have one I've used for 10 years. Be careful putting the lid on - some don't whistle! Don't fill the wood like in this demonstration - the wood doesn't need to come out the top - and NEVER look inside the top wood hole - fire tornado. Kelly's are amazing. ✌
Coal cracker ROCKS! Small tip for anyone using these types of volcano kettles: To clean the inside chamber, fill it with clean water and pop in a couple of those fizzing tablets for cleaning dentures. Dump it out and if you like, you can follow that up with the white vinegar and water solution trick people use for cleaning out their coffee makers. Fill it, and you can put it on top of a stove burner if you are doing this inside, at home. Let it get to a simmer, then dump it and flush it out with fresh water until the vinegar smell is gone.
CoalCracker ROCKS! Thank you for the reliable information and training. I can not explain enough on how much I have learned from your words of wisdom and really no BS when it comes to Bushcrafting. I would eventually like to get to a place where I could come to your classes. Stay in the woods. Thank you
This was an epic episode. Coalcracker Rocks 🤘 That Gilly Kettle had me at whistle. That thing is so insane.
Coalcracker rocks!! My 8 year old watches your videos every single night before bed! 😊 You have taught him countless things, one being how to make a fire in our backyard! Ha! Thank you for putting out videos, and encouraging my kiddo to stay in the woods!
Coalcracker Rocks! Always appreciate the time you take to break things down and who all the tips and tricks and different gear, thank you!
Coalcracker rocks! A buddy of mine told me about this channel and since watching it I can't get enough! Your videos are always so informative and fun and I've been learning a lot of things I can't wait to try out in the woods! Keep it up man!
Coalcracker Rocks! Love your vids on knots and little hacks to make dirt time more enjoyable. Got a set of your fingerless gloves and they work well. Use one of your pocket organizers also as a wallet and for EDC. Keep up the good work!
Coalcracker Rocks! Great videos Dan. Really thought about getting one of these. Really like that they're concise, short, each packed with information . . . and a little comedy!
Coalcracker rocks! Dan, I took a survival class as part of the college program I took in school. It was the greatest thing I ever did. I’ve been interested in learning more ever since I took that class. Hopefully once the exchange rate gets a little better I can come take one of your courses too. Everyone has something to teach us :)
Coalcracker rocks! My hubby (advanced/semi-feral woodsman) and I (grew up in an extremely rural swampy area yet have no survival skills) have been watching your videos together. It's been fun trying out the skills together.
Coalcracker ROCKS!!! your such an inspiration to be outside. Every camping trip needs a "Dan's idea" project. Practice lashing, practice fire starting and making tools etc. Thank you!

Coalcracker Rocks! Thanks for being out there teaching Bushcraft!
I've always been interested in these types of water boilers. Thought about buying the KELLY KETTLE but never pulled the trigger on it. Lol, my first thrift store find was the narrow mouth 40 oz. Kleen Kanteen many years ago. It was dr0pped at some point and even using a board and hammer i could never get the bottom flat again, to this day it slightly rocks if i have it on a table... works perfect in the woods though ;-)! COALCRACKER ROCKS!
Brits have some good products
Coalcracker Rocks! Common sense is what puts the good channels above all the others. I came to realize that common sense is very rare. 😉
COALCRACKER ROCKS! Been watching for years and have enjoyed your videos, especially your humor in sharing insights and skills on outdoor living. Keep it up!
Got a notification that I'd won (see below) and this is what I was told. I would have to pay over a hundred dollars for "Shipping": I've got a screenshot of the Telegram conversation. WTF!

Coalcracker Rocks !! Thanks for another great video Dan. I've been enjoying your content for a few years. The Sawyer water filter is very effective at producing drinkable water quickly but there is something very reassuring about boiling. Thanks for the video!
Coalcraker Rocks! I love your stuff; always learning something new. And your humor is appreciated. Stay safe, Greg
Coalcracker Rocks! Thanks, Dan. Been looking at these kettles for a while...

Coalcracker Rocks! Another Video that explains and demonstrates how to use gear effectively. Keep up the good work!
Coalcracker Rocks !! I always learn something new every time I watch. Thanks for all you do.
Coalcracker definitely rocks! I had a Kelly kettle for decades and they truly are a great piece of field kit you didn't know you needed
Coalcracker Rocks!! This Canadian outdoorsman appreciates all you do.
Coalcracker rocks! That's for sure. Stay - in - the - woods.
Coalcracker ROCKS!!! You mentioned getting coals or ashes in your water bottle. An old trick was after boiling water was to put a couple of small pieces of the coals in the container and shake it vigorous ly. This helped to put some air back in the water and the coals would help to return some "sweetness". Boiled water can taste kind of bland. Try it, it works. I've done this since I was in the Scouts.
Coalcracker rocks! I've enjoyed your channel for a few years now. Keep up the great videos.
Love the videos and your sense of humor! Coalcracker Rocks!
Coalcracker Rocks! Thanks Dan, I’ve been looking at these for a long time, just never got around to buying one. The concept seems great for the type of camping I do.

Coalcracker rocks! Thanks for all the great comical videos!
Coalcracker rocks! I have seen pictures of Gilley Kettles before, but never a live boil. Definitely a cool piece of kit. Thanks!
Coalcracker Rocks! I’ve used both Ghillie and Kelly kettles for several years. Doesn’t take more than two uses to figure out best setup. Very efficient method of boiling water! In most cases, that pile of sticks you had is enough for several kettles.
Coalcracker ROCKS!!! Winning a Ghillie Kettle would be awesome! Sipping on some tea while watching Coalcracker in the woods what could be better?
Coalcracker Rocks!! I always look forward to your videos. Many, many thanks for all you do.
COALCRACKER ROCKS (and that's not just lip service!)!!! Would love this setup for camping and I love that it whistles to let you know it's 'ready.'

COALCRACKER ROCKS. Great vid Dan. Looks like a very cool piece of kit.
Coalcracker rocks! I just started watching your videos recently, very informative! Thanks for all your hard work.
Coalcracker Rocks... as always an excellent program. I'm always amazed at the ingenuity and innovation of people in devising solutions for problems. I'm assuming this made from aluminum and while not great for hiking definitely a campsite winner. And it whistles!
Coalcracker Rocks! I cant wait to show the kids this video! We are planning our first camping trip of the year now and your tips are going to come in handy! Thanks!
Coalcracker rocks! Never seen that before. Thanks for showing.
Coalcracker rocks! Thanks for all of the great videos.
Coalcracker rocks! I like that it whistles.
That is a cool product. And....Coalcracker Rocks!!! Really enjoy your quick hitting content. Thank you Dan.
Coalcracker Rocks! I've seen these before, but initially viewed them as a gimmick and had completely forgotten about them as a back country tool. Looks like they really do have a decent use.
Coalcracker Rocks! Every parcel I have received from the store is wrapped very securely and feels like Christmas!😊
I still have my dads old one that he got from someone. I thought they were really cool. What's good about that is in really cold areas you can do this inside your shelter pretty safely.
Coalcracker rocks!! Those kettles are great for boiling water quickly. Keep up the great work with your videos!
Coalcracker Rocks! Always a fun channel if you like camping. I mean real camping. In a tent, or under the stars. With the mobile phone off. Stay in the woods yourself, Dan.
Coalcracker rocks! I've admired the kettle for some time. Many thanks for the useful review!
Coalcracker ROCKS!!! I usually bushcraft at around 2000m elevations so this beats a larger fire with a pot over for boiling :)
Coalcracker Rocks! I enjoy you presentation of getting out in the wood. You Rock!
Coalcracker Rocks! ...and so does that kettle.

One is the 1st that I enjoy your videos that you put out they're extremely helpful.... Needless to say coalcracker rocks.. And if you ever decide you want to get into some nice kayaking please come on down to Southern Missouri with love to have you
Awesome you got one too! We got one about 1 month ago. We’ve used it on 2 camping trips. It works efficiently to heat. Water for coffee, tea, coco THEN with hobo stove or gill we’ve cooked mussels, fried donuts, heated soup, roasted marshmallows, made bread. Then if we need to start a camp fire we put the coals from the Kelly Kettle in the fire pit
Coalcracker Rocks! We call these Kelly kettles and have used them for many years. Great for car and horse camping.
Coalcracker Rocks!! I used one of these a campout a few years ago worked great.
Coalcraker Rocks. Totally rocks, I never miss a video. Thanks so much for offering the kettle for give away. They look interesting. See ya Dan.
Coalcracker rocks! i believe the wire base is for uneven ground so the whole thing doesn't tip when full of water
Coalcracker rocks! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the great outdoors.
