No judgements or criticism here. Just speaking from my own experience. Sleeping on the ground and downhill from the fire is not for me. I think its always better to have the fire below the sleeping area and to sleep off of the ground. Double the spruce bows on top also. But glad you survived and had fun. Thanks.

IMO snow makes the cleanest best tasting water source outdoors! I used to grab up chunks of snow and eat it while playing outside as a kid and now as an adult I appreciate that some of our survival skills can be developed even as children. I used to spend all my time playing in the woods and outdoors so these videos bring back a lot of childhood memories! Thank you for sharing!

I do like your video and I think you did the best that you could do for what was around you for materials. You should have made some type of bedding also from the branches that you found but it still looks cold I can see light through the roof. You were probably still cold and a bigger fire would have been nice. And this is my first Bushcraft video where I finally saw somebody using the restroom and I always wondered about that hurray 🎉😊. Good luck to you in your future videos. Peace from California

If I went back 100 years and said that "in the future people will go to the woods to sleep in heavy snow just to be seen by thousands of people", they would say we have gone crazy.

We have. But this is not much of an example. Running your life based on an electronic box you are a slave to for instance is a tad more insane in my opinion.

This to me os way better then trying to pile up snow ...again depending if it's packing snow or light fluffy snow Packing snow is easy to create a huge pile Digging a trench in a two or three ft snow drift shoveling the snow beside the trench and adding more snow to get about a three or four ft trench the add pine bows for the roof is quicker and easier less time burning calories and sweating A trench.a wooden A frame covered with pine and cedar bows

People need to learn about ther.al mass .... Heating up the materials to retain the heat thru radiant heat from a fire or woodstove or a hot sun ....radiant heat only works with small to medium size room.and the walls and roof need to be insulated as much as possible to hold the heat in if the wind can get thru the pine boughs it wont stay warm for long ....building aginst monster rocks is not a good idea either the rock will remain whatever the outdoor tempature is ....if the fire gies out your freezing within a half hour brrrrr

Fallen branches for a shelter is acceptable. Never cut a standing tree for a temporary shelter, please. It takes years to grow for a tree, the Original food and other source provider. The video was good.
