I have always respected Germany for how it dealt with the darkest parts of their own history (Nazism and the second world war) by acknowledging it for what it was instead of revisionism or trying to avoid it. Lot of other countries could learn from them. I like how DW instead of showing everything in a negative and partisan way, showed both the negative viewpoints and the optimistic views as well. Sadly, I can't say the same for the Bengali language version, DW Bangla which shows more partisan bias and employs cheap tricks for attention.

I think some people confused between Islam as a religion and Muslims as a citizens, when you’re a Muslim live in non Muslims country you have a sort of an obligation to respect and obey the law even contribute in the community at all levels politics, investments, education what ever, so as a Muslim I have no right to force my own beliefs on the others especially in non Muslims country, some people say shariah law, isn’t what most of people think it’s like a constitution you need a proper country to apply so shariah has nothing to do in Germany it’s quite simple.

I think Islam is a much generic term covering not only a pure religion but more importantly culture. If one considers recent immigrants to Europe then what is attributed to Islam is whatever cultural background those immigrants bring with them and hence the clash of different cultures attributed vividly to religious interpretations which can be made in all religions based on cherry picking to suite cultural traditions. On the other hand Islam germinated long enough in European Muslims gains significant cultural tracks of Europe and becomes similar to European Christianity with unique set of characteristics (tolerance, respect of freedoms, political neutrality) that sets it away from its eastern cultural roots. One such example could be found in Bosnian Islam where a Slavic people converted to Islam hundreds of years ago have set their religion so apart from its cultural origins.

Big part of the Palestinians of today are not really Palestinians. They are Arabs. They conquered the region of Palestine in the 7th Century. On the other hand Israel is not really Jewish.
