Surron Ultra Bee 200 mile review and new mods

Спорт

I am back after a 5 week layoff and I had a little time to upgrade the bike with more mods.
All the parts were purchased on EBAY and are mostly made by KKE.
Just search Surron Ultra Bee on EBAY and all these parts will show up.
Chain is a Pro X MX roller chain

    Hey Schredder I have an ultra bee all stock and just love it for trail riding, to wheelie better just turn up the throttle setting, lots more snap, I run mine on 2, lots of snap, crank yours to 3 and forget about a new sprocket, bike setting really change how the bike performs, give it a try, enjoy your channel, keep on schredding

    After watching your content. I have bought and install the same wheel and set of tires a few months ago. I’m very happy with the combos. I ride similar terrain. I’m on vancouver island we have gnarly rocky climbs too. I might try the rear 53 tooth sprocket too as I dont really care about top speed for what I ride. Thanks for the great content and sharing your knowledge.

    Glad to have helped! Super stoked that the wheel and tire combo is working out for you. You will like the 53 tooth sprocket as you will get better range and be able to have better acceleration to get over logs and rocks.

    I think you may of mentioned this on another video but this seemed the best place to ask. What handle bars did you swap out with and how much height did they add? I picked up some 30mm risers, which help a lot. I stand at 6ft and can’t help but think a little bit more bar height would help a lot.

  • @schreddersworld1050

    I replaced them with Protapers "woods high". I probably gained about a 1/2" in height. I am 6'1" and I could use another 1/2" on top of the bars and 30mm risers.

    Great stuff. Did the wheel upgrade lift the seat height at all? You mind sharing your height and weight? I am 6' and ~ 205 lbs and I mulling over getting a seat extender to lift the bike a bit and was thinking of getting a heaving coil spring in the rear (though you made a good point about wanting it soft for trail riding)

    I don't know if you know, but you're supposed to adjust your chain with your weight on it. They're supposed to be slack in the chain. When you're not sitting on it, you're gonna wind up. Wearing your sprockets and chain out quicker with the way you have it.

  • @schreddersworld1050

    @schreddersworld1050

    10 ай бұрын

    I completely understand that. I usually sit on it and check again after I adjust to make sure it is not tight.. With the linkage the way it is on this bike, it doesn't tighten as much as a regular dirtbike when the suspension is sagged down all the way. On my friends Husky 450 it needs 1-7/8 of play with no sag and on this bike it is recommended at 5/8"-3/4" with no sag or weight on the bike. It is important on these bikes to not have it too loose or all the drive is with the primary belt and that would wear out sooner or even break and they are a pain to replace.

    Today was my first day in mine. Crashed as soon as I switched to sport. Brush guard cracked around the mount. I’ll super glue until I get a new pair. Mine Ultra bee came with street/enduro tires. How much do you want for your stock tires?

    Bummer, I've had to replace my handguards as well. They are definitely fast in sport. I rode mine in dad mode for a few months before going to full time sport mode. I started out with the throttle sensor at 1 , now I ride it in 2.

    You’re backwards on the sprocket explanation. Smaller front will allow you to go smaller on the rear to get the same overall ratio. One tooth down on the front is equal to upsizing the rear by 3-4 teeth.

  • @schreddersworld1050

    @schreddersworld1050

    in a typical situation, you are absolutely right! However on the light bee it is the rear primary gear that is changed (bigger) and I would imagine it would be the same for the UltraBee since the design is the same. Being that it is the rear gear on the primary, it would be like the rear gear on the secondary. The front primary gear is already tiny, so I do not believe it can be made smaller.

  • @schreddersworld1050

    Congrats! Sure, it would be fun to ride with another Ultra rider. A 53 tooth is way better on range if you are doing tight single track trails. I changed to a 54 for better pop for going over logs and roots, but the range goes down a little bit.
