What do you think about riding motorcycles in Boston and New York during the winter? Is it safe on snowy days?

i don't recommend riding in the snow i slipped a couple of times and crashed my bike. only do it when the roads are clear and not snowy and slushy.

@@thumpertorque_ I'm thinking about moving to NYC and I'm evaluating whether motorcycles are a good means of transportation in the city. I wanted to know if there are many New Yorkers who use motorcycles to go to work and how they do it in the winter? What is it like to ride during the winter? Do you have a lot of snow days? On days without snow, are the streets and highways dry even with negative temperatures?

@@samuelfilipe8903 If you got heated gloves and layer up, temperature shouldn’t be a big issue since you don’t have a lot of highway speed roads. Temperature is around 15-25 in January but it can get lower. In NYC snowy days aren’t as common as upstate, CT, Massachusetts but they do pile up once in a while. It really depends on your tolerance level.

No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. Your Bike will slide all over the road. Advice from someone who’s experienced👍 Too dangerous, not safe
