I learned to fish with my dad, a die hard bass angler. When I was an adult I fell in love with fly fishing for reds. Asked him to come many times but he was all in for bass and bass only. He's gone now but watching your and your Momma's joy on her first red gave me a tiny feeling of what it would have been like had he come. Cherish your time with her and your dad (I know you do) as it will one day be over. Love your channel.

The photo of your great-grandfather outside the Angler’s Nook in Shushan, NY made me wonder if he was Ralph Entwhistle, who owned the Nook before George Schlotter, who owned it when I went there. My wife’s family is from the area, so we are often on the Battenkill and its tributaries. Keep making the videos! We enjoy them when we can’t get on the water.

First off, the production level on this video is off the charts. Secondly, what an amazing time fishing with your mom. Flood tide Fly Fishing for Redfish is HARD. It is technical. It takes many a flood tide to be able to read what a fish is doing. The Captain has obviously tracked his fair share of fish. Excellent job directing the anglers to the fish. Those fish can move on a dime & cover a massive amount of ground in a short period. Anglers did their fair share too. It's tough to make it all come together like that. Congrats for landing some fish. 27:13 Its a pretty amazing feeling to be standing on a flat when all those fish show up at the same time. Its like the dinner bell went off. Every where you look for 5 mins, there are fish. Then, poof, like a fart in the wind, they are gone.

My dad died in august this year. He was a fly fisherman and I just started fly fishing after he left... Would have been great to go for such a trip with him. Thank you for such an awesome Video!

Nice job dude! I lost both of my parents just a few years ago, this is a beautiful memory you made with your mom.

Anoher amazing video. I need to switch it up from Trout to Redfish, looks like a total blast. This enspired me to take my dad fly-fishing, he would talk about fly fishing for bluegill in Indiana when he was a kid. He's pushing 80 and is still very active and would be stoked to flyfish again. Time moves fast. Thanks for sharing.
