One of the ingredients that "Sun in" has is hydrogen peroxide. That burns your hair. I say this from my own experience. I used it many years ago and it damaged my hair. I have the same hair color and texture as Emily's.

It has hydrogen peroxide which is what they put in hair dyes to lighten it but you aren’t washing it out you are leaving it in and using the sun to lighten it rather than heat
