Just glad to see there are kids that still appreciate stuff! My first car was my grandfather's old 76 Chevy C10 that had been sitting in the backyard for 10 years. He told me if I could get it running by summer's end I could have it. We worked on it and lo and behold we got it going and I put another 100,000 miles on it before I let it go. I sure miss that truck and that man! Love you so much Papa!

That sounds like the story of my first car. It was a 90 ford aerostar and our old family van. It had sat in the driveway for years and me and my Dad got it up and running and I drove it for 12 years. Even drove my son around in it. I finally had to let Bertha go, she was pouring oil around the rear main seal. She had a good run 🚐

Although I paid for my car in full, my mom and stepdad went out of their way to surprise me with it. I was told I wouldn't be getting the car until the following week (which bummed me out tbh). While my mom and I were inside doing the final payments, my stepdad was outside with the dealer setting up my car with a huge bow and pulling it around front. While saying goodbye and thanking the dealer, my stepdad says "Turn Around" and outside was my car. I don't think I've ever cried so hard. Forever grateful for my family and for that moment ❤️

Never was able to get a car from my parents so at 16 I made it a goal to get myself a Nissan 350z and learn to drive stick. Did that about 6 months ago and bought an 03 6-speed mt 350Z in all black. Never give up!

My parents never bought me a car. I had to work and pay for it all. Insurance, any new parts or repairs, gas. But i think that was the right thing to do. And honestly I felt accomplished buying the car myself. But i also give props to parents who buy their kids their first car at least.

Personally I never had such moment with my father and I’m pretty much saving to buy my own car, but honestly seeing how happy it makes these kids, I’ll definitely try to do the same for my kids in the future💚🙏🏽

I never got a car from my parents so I worked hard to get my cars; and I still see this and it puts a smile in my face knowing these guys and gals being grateful.

I live in a country where a car is a luxury. That old car, which in the USA costs about 2000/3000 dollars, costs 15000 in my country. I love my parents, they could never afford, nothing like that. I spent my whole summer working 40 hours a week doing landscape construction getting paid 9$ an hour to be able to afford my first car. (Not only do you feel so accomplished when you can afford it, you appreciate it more) also to anyone out there who is working towards it and isn’t quite there yet, I believe in you and you’ll get there.

My family was number 3. In fact I didn’t get much of anything from my family. Didn’t get much of birthday/Christmas presents either. If I did get anything for one of those it was always clothes. Most of what I got as presents was a lot of mental and physical abuse and told I’d never amount to nothing or anyone. That’s why I don’t celebrate holidays or birthdays as an adult. I’m glad this is a video of appreciative kids getting cars and not those spoiled ones who throw the keys back at there parents and refuse to drive what they were given.

I bought my first car on my own and I'm happy that my parents didn't buy me one. I babied that car because it was a reward of all the hard work I had put in the past year. It taught me that not everything in life is given to you. When I have kids, I won't buy them a car in an effort to teach them the same life lesson

yk, my parents were working their butts off 6 years to get me the car of my dreams so i could drive it for life.Working overtime and all that I wasn't aware of that until I saw the kind of car they got me a Ford f150, I was the happiest man on earth. They did all that for me,

The best gift is giving to somebody who really appreciates the gift, and doesn’t act like they are entitled to it.

Getting your first car is something really special. Weather its bought for you or you paid for it, its something youll remember. Now for those of you who are parents thinking of getting your kid their first car.. Make sure they are responsible enough for it. My sister is on her 3rd car already and shes only 25. She doesn't take care of her cars maintenance wise or cleaning it. Drives it like its a race car even though its usually a 4-6 cylinder engine. make sure they have job to afford said maintenance as required in the manual. it will save you thousands down the road and your life.

I'm 14... My car is a 2002 Pontiac Firebird v6. I am very passionate about mechanic work. It's what I want to do. The car doesn't run, I'm working on the vehicle, and hopefully will finish when I am old enough to drive it. I plan on swapping a v8 in the car. No corollas or civics for me! XD The car was super cheap, and I absolutely love it. I named it Lucy.

I agree that every person in this video deserved it and was grateful. HOWEVER the 1st video was the best because he didn't want a " new model " he was just super thankful he got anything. He was very humble with the gift he got. P.S your first car will forever be remembered!

I don't know of many people who can do this for their kids, I know I couldn't. But to those who can and have, YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!! The only thing I could do for my son was co-sign for him, but it meant the world to him cause it meant he could get the car he wanted.

The second one is so sweet, how her dad is crying too, because shes getting older. :)

6:53 is the reaction I live for. I will do something like this for my mother or my children. Hopefully both. There's no better feeling than having an idea like this, finally being able to do it & seeing how much someone appreciates it.

I saved money at 13 to buy a junk car for around $550... (my parents helped me through christmas and birthday money.... (I didn't get presents...) but other than that, I saved over the next couple years, around $2000 and re-built my car. It was a 2004 VW golf MK4! I didn't have to do a full rebuild (Thankfully!) But I had to do my share. My family grew up super poor. I just wanted to say, be thankful for everything!!

This entire video is a reminder to always be grateful for what you get. Some families can’t afford a car while some families give their kids a sports car for their birthday. Whether you get a super nice car or a hand me down, always be grateful

This, this got to me. I think it’s because the fact that my entire life I hadn’t had a single home that cared about me (I was a foster kid) my parents who adopted me split after a short time. I wasn’t able to learn to drive due to having to take care of my brother. But now that I’m weeks away from finally getting my license I can finally start driving. I can buy myself a car. Saying that, my father has also decided that I wasn’t good enough for him, wasn’t good enough to learn to drive, to own a car. So now that I’ll be buying my own car it’ll feel special. If I ever have kids I never would put them through what I’ve been through.

I never had my first car as a gift but instead I took over my dad's forgotten Mercedes W126 since I was 17 years old. I always gave it the care that a car deserves and at 23, the car keeps running with me and like new. Always take care and value what you have.

The first dude I can tell is mechanically inclined. You can see in his face “dude, yes, something I can wrench on that I own!” The 2nd vid, the girl getting the Honda, yeah it’s a civic, but i started driving in a 91 Civic, and you literally cannot kill a Honda engine unintentionally. So I applaud the parents on that one: good first car, endless catalogue of stuff you can do with it, mechanically sound, and she thinks it’s pretty, and the way she said it made this grizzled 38 year old smile. And I bought my own dream car just a couple of years back, after working hard over a long time to get it, 2017 Ford Fiesta ST. So I know the joys of both getting a car as a gift (91 Civic) and working hard to get your dream car (Fiesta ST) 😁

Dylan tauscheck my mom wanted to buy me a car but i refused bc she would have probably got me a boring car like camry so i got a job and worked for 3months and then bought a 1997 toyota mr2 turbo a midengine sports car for 6k with 160 thousand kilometers on it ,its the most fun car i have ever driven the close ratio 5 speed manual is so fun and its is very fast and nible plus i have put some work into it coilovers wheels and tires and exhaust and replace the shitty factory intercooler and it feels like my car bc i have worked for it iam happy that i didnt let my mom buy my car bc then it wouldnt be my car it wouldn't feel like that i own the car and i still have it its my fun car i have a daily and a fun car

@@villian99918 That depends on the state. In Ohio you can ride on a permit at 15 and a half. That's what I did and I loved it so I just daily drove a bike until last October and bought a Jeep before winter.

Yes, you can drive a motorcycle at age 14 in Hungary legally, but that bike could have maximum an 50cc engine. And you need a driving license for it. You don't have to buy a moped, honda and yamaha scooters are relatively cheap in hungary, you can get a decent one for 250$, and they can reach 40mph speed. I have a "motorcylce" too, however it's a moped. It's a Jawa Babetta 207 from 1982. It was 90$, and considering it's age it's in fine condition. The max speed of my moped is 27mph, not so much but more than what i could ever reach with a regular bicyle. Btw I'm 16, and from Hungary.

My first car was a ‘72 Ford Maverick. I was very grateful and happy. I was 17 and a senior in high school. One of the other students was making fun of it. I said (we were looking at the parking lot) “Where’s your’s at?” He said “I don’t have one”I laughed all the way to class. Wish I had that car now. Also had to learn how to change spark plugs, tires, change oil, etc before I was allowed to drive it. Grateful to my parents for all of that. My Son didn’t get anything like these kids either but he was beyond happy with his truck. Wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. ❤️😁

The sad part is most kids nowadays don't even know how to check the damn oil in their car or truck! XD it's also kind of sad because a lot of the more modern day cars, even cars from the early 2010s, don't let you have easy access to things like the spark plugs. You have to take a few things off in order to even get to them (and in some cases not at all) not like the good old cars from the good old days.

All wonderful deserving kids that are so grateful. Faith in humanity restored
