After losing a springer at the net last year, I managed to land my first springer 2 weeks ago. Nothing beats landing a salmon. Gets your heart racing!

Stunning fish and well caught. Reminds me of fishing in Wales in the early 90's, I hooked up a few times but never landed mine but the sheer adrenalin rush never fades

Well in What a stunning bit of water that looks I remember when I had my first salmon around 6lb the excitement was unreal and to get one as fresh as that unreal mate looks to been in the river 2-3 days that 👌👍

I'd like to try fishing but my local clubs haven't really been that friendly, and I kinda would want someone to tutorial me for a bit before I try fishing alone. Plus, not really knowing which licences and bits I need... I can fish vicariously through your lovely videos though :)

All 👍 shows btw I've had a horrible head cold for days and had some miserable weather to boot horrible easterly wind that lasted days I Don't know if it hit your area as bad but if it did you'll know it was just nightmare weather so these episodes of fishing have been a life saver I've even repeated a couple of favourites like this one.

Quite similar to the american steel head trout, that was an amazing fish, my record for the salmon family was a 4. 8 pounder on a big blade spinner right in the tidal inlet underneath the footbridge it was a he'll of a fight and my heart was racing I think I would have cried if I lost it cuz it was late season and an ice cold day I'd been at it for hours with nothing taking but I could see big fishing passing so they were there but I just had to agitate one right infront of it's nose as it was swimming up river. Great feeling
