Definitely a Wisteria tree. There are climbing and tree variants - they just have to be trained.

Uk is full of ruins from past times way befor ww2. The ruins dont imply I think. Gorgeous build. :)

You have so many ruins still? Oh, ok. Just thought you restored everything already. Guess it really bugged me, because it didnt make any sense in Windenburg. A Fort/castle in the middle of a brawling city like Windenburg would definitely be restored at this point.

Yeah there's loads of ruins in the city and countryside. Also just from being so old not just ww2. I think it's quite nice cuz nature likes to reclaim them so they look super cool

@@Simproved you Germans are far more efficient than us Brits. 🤣 Once something gets historical status in the U.K., it’s almost impossible to alter them. Or the cost of doing so is far too high, so they just get left there. 😅

This house is giving me Barbie and the Diamond Castle and I love it

I love that you are a game changer and are talking about the bugs that exist in build mode. So many people pretend that things are perfect. On build bugs, the premade dormers just do not work, any of them. I can barely ever get them to blend to the roof they just snap too high. I wish the roof line extended further back so it was easier to work with.

We have lots and lots of ruins still in their ruined state in the UK! They’re generally not ruined from being bombed, but just from falling into disrepair over centuries. It’s quite normal!

Fry building a family house? 😳 is everything okay? Haha 😂 this is awesome as usual I always love your builds!

The whole design is stunning. When we went on holidays to the U.K in 2004, we had seen a cottage very much like this. We fell in love with it, this brought back some very happy feelings

Absolutely love this build, this is what I wanted to build when I get my hands on it, slightly above the ground with the water wheel as no one else from game changers have yet to use the wheel!! Eeep well done!

Such a pretty build! Definitely one of my favourites from the ones Ive seen from the game changers. Really appreciate you showing us what works and what wont work so well with this pack. Like you, I'm finding it super frustrating how all these build glitches keep being ignored by the sims team. Many have been around for ages now and its annoying that they have yet to be addressed. And yes, diagonals are terribly implemented 😖 But man, this pack is gorgeous! And you have done a wonderful job with it!

Love the water mill I saw Freezerbunny do it too! I am deffo going to do that with my builds ..... I haven't been around was so happy I got to see one of your builds much love to you Fry Lovely Build -- Was it hard not being your taste LMAOOOOO

18:00 if you're someone who's comfortable using cc then bakiegaming has a ton of animated animals and insects that you can place in build mode. also love the build! it's rare to see ppl building diagonally but you pull it off really well! and the garden is so well decorated

Yeah, diagonals are proof that the devil exists! :D Or that EA is the devil. I haven't decided. :P Lovely build, though! I can't wait to get my grubby paws on the debug items and the pond tool. I just want to build a proper swamp witch hut! Or maybe I wish they gave us chicken legs. The Baba Yaga's hut would be such a cool build. :D

I have the same curved wall glitch in game! I'd been working on a Victorian cemetery with raised lots and mausoleums for a month on and off; and only went into live mode last week to check functionality and all the curved platforms and even some of the square platforms were broken and showed as blue. :( AMAZING lot as always!!

Love the build! I was thinking it was giving me mediaeval vibes, & then you said it. haha & also yeah, diagonals are a b****! I haven't build houses in a while, & have only renovated apartments lately. There's too many bugs, but I haven't played for so long to remember all of them. I agree with having an animation category & a debug category. I used Tmex's better build buy once (that allows you to access it easily through the ui), & it worked for awhile. But then as I was reorganising my mods folder, it broke, & even redownloading won't fix it. 😅

I love the comment you made about war and the military in the sims, i never thought about it that way!

Yeah maybe the sims lore simmers should focus on the whole sims history. Nit just which sim slept which whom and had a baby

Beautiful cottage love the landscaping 👍🏼👍🏼🙃💕🤍my game has bugs too it’s not worth saying anything my sims won’t sleep and just fall down wash dishes in the bathroom and every sim just walks in your house and use your grill for the wellness detox solutions hope they fix all the bugs soon ...

The tree w/ the white hanging flowers is a wisteria tree. Ours is blooming in our backyard recently.☺️

That water wheel must be magic! In real life they need a waterfall connected to them to be activated. 😉

Yes I know. I wanted to share it on the gallery. However the save file (the builds) from the early access if the pack are corrupted and just wont lof in my „normal“ game. So I can’t upload them to the gallery. I’m sorry.

I know. Sadly the save file from early access is corrupted and therefore all builds from that phase are „lost“ 😩

It's supposed to represent the caltswald idk if I spelled it right but yeah it's supposed represent that place

Stupid KZread, not telling me that you've uploaded lately 😡. But I love this build! It's so cozy! And you're one of the game changers that doesn't sound broken and speaks your mind, it's really nice to hear. The setting of this pack is nice but appears to have many issues as well. But the whole game feels like US (including Hawaii) and UK with a little Japan sprinkled in...

I think this is a nice coherent pack. Everything fits this one big theme of cottagecore farming in the english country side. Whereas the previous EPs always had various themes and therefore various sometimes totally random objects. Say extreme sports/skiing versus japanese traditional in snowy escape.

@@Simproved apparently some people go to Japan for winter sports, but instead of just Scandinavian esque furniture in 3 packs, how about a Scandinavian snowy world that also looks beautiful in summer? And the Japanese pack could expand on fishing and tea brewing for example and it was more of a Japanese village setting with chickens so they could make cows and llamas better here as well as horses as the English Queen loves horses. And an animator and comic artists careers? And rather than a North African inspired kit, how about a world that it'd fit well in?

it looks older because it's inspired by the English country side which does not get funding from the government to get updated in terms of construction and or is kept that way for historical preservation purposes. it's not really intentionally placing the pack in a historical era, it's just because that's how stuff is in actual real life.

also for the same historical safe keep reasons, ruins are left untouched in many places. there's still Roman ruins in a lot of latin european countries and stuff.

So in England they never restored churches after the war? Some have pointed that out. Feels weird to hear in German we restored everything. No ruin come to mind.

@@Simproved England didn't suffer greatly with the war physically because the war was happening in mainland Europe around Germany. most of - if not all - the destruction happened there.

Coventry was one of the few English cities outside of London which got badly damaged in the war, most other parts of England, and the rest of the UK, escaped relatively unscathed, so there wasn't a lot that needed re-building. Plus, here we tend to just let ruins alone, there are Bronze Age ruins in my Yorkshire town that are just exposed to the elements right through to Medieval Manor houses and onwards. As a nation we tend to preserve our history in whatever state it was left in rather than repair it, the odd Grand Designs project aside :D
