So today I watched this and just cried. I lost my son on 11/11/20 and on his last Mother’s Day he came and surprised me while I was serenading my Mom with song and piano. We shared time with music in that moment. Little did I know I know it was going to be my last Mother’s Day with him. My grandmother ( I called Moma) raised me also & she passed away almost 7yrs ago. I felt every word you commented & more. I believe they're even MORE SPECIAL because they stepped up & did what they didn't have to do & did it better than anyone else could have! I always said when she passes away they were going to have to bury me with her because I wouldn't be able to live without her...but here I am 7yrs later & although some days are unbearable without her it's what she instilled in me that keeps me going. I see, feel & hear her in everything I do. When I cook, when I parent my children, when I clean, when I love & care for others....it is always her that taught me how to do all of those things & more! Idk if you're a mother but if you are, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY & HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to your Grandmother also. May we all be together again one glorious day! 💕 💐 🌹 🌸 🏵 🌼 💐 💕

What singing! What voice! What emotions! What articulation!! Every single word was crystal clear!!! No wonder he was the American Idol finalist!!! Wow! So inspiring!!!

I am 63 years old an I am totally in love with this young man! From his amazing voice, to his look, his great smile and his kind face and the fact that he loves his Mama is just beautiful. He's what I always wanted my son to be. I watch this video before I go to bed, I wake up with the song in my head, and I'm humming it all day. I just can't go a day without seeing the video at least twice a day but also to watch what Cheryl can do for these students of singing. Devin, I wish you the very best life has to offer and maybe someday I can meet you and go to one of your concerts! Keep on keeping on Devin. :)

What I love about these videos is the authenticity from the audio we hear. Most television, music recordings etc will always include vocal tuning in some degree while here we hear the raw nature of peoples voices. That coupled with the extreme warmth and tender love Cheryl displays is just a match made in heaven.

Sorry for your loss. It’s hard, very hard and I know that personally. I lost my mom when I was freshman in High school. She was in her late 30s. That type of pain never go away, well not mine at least. I was a mom boy so losing her was like having a big 17x17 big hole in the middle of my chest and even though it has been several years now, my heart still aches whenever I think about her. She was an ANGEL. Sorry for your loss again. Take care.
