Surfing in Hossegor as an Intermediate Surfer (POV)

Surfing pumping Hossegor in perfect conditions! Hossegor really lives up to its reputation. With comparable forecasts on paper, waves are much heavier there than up the coast.
Surfers there are a different breed. I saw countless guys getting barrelled that day. I tried to do the same, but instead got pounded over and over again. I'll get there some day though!
Shot on the DJI Osmo Action 4, 2.7K (4:3) at 60FPS, with RockSteady.
Board : Olaïan Shortboard 900, 5'10", 30L.

Cheers mate, took me a while to get into that session! You should have seen the locals that day, they were all getting pitted on absolutely every wave 🤙

How cold is it? I see you have gloves on im guessing a boot and hood too. I thought in the summer France water got warm so u could surf hossegor in swim trunks.

I am wearing full gear indeed! Water is around 12-14°C in the winter months (December-March) and around 21-24°C in the summer months (July-September). You surely can surf Hossegor in boardies in the summer months, granted you are not cold sensitive!
