Surface Pro 8 | Da Vinci Resolve Video Editing, Coding, 360 Video Editing
The Surface Pro 8 has been out for some time now, with the SP 9 recently being unveiled. I managed to pick up a SP 8 but was still not 100% sure that it would be able to do the things that I wanted to do. So I decided to make a video showing some of the things that I use it for, such as:
-360 video editing
-Video editing (Da Vinci Resolve, FHD and 4k)
-Coding (VS code and visual studio)
-General stuff (meetings, youtube, blogging)
Hopefully this can help show you what it can do and whether it will meet your needs :)

Great video! just a tip, the audio track your voice is on, make sure to make it a mono track :) (In Resolve you can just right click > change voice track to > Mono)
Thank you - exactly what I was looking for. You are right - there are zero videos showing the SP9 at work. Your video answered a lot of questions I had about the actual experience. Refreshing that you put out a video that actually shows this compared to all the Tech Poseurs that only repeat the company product briefing whilst speaking in absolute generalities. I just started using Adobe Premier on my SP8 and it runs perfectly also. FYI, Adobe has had partnership with MS and has optimized their suite for Surface Pro computers since the SP4. It just gets better every generation.

Hi - does it run full version of DaVinci Resolve (as in, not the Studio, but the normal free desktop app) with all functions? I don't expect same performance of course, but I don’t do heavy editing anyway.

I’m having issues with my surface not loading 10bit video into Davinci. Have you had any issues with this?

@@FitNishM I found out it’s only 10bit from the Sony A7iv 4:2:2 it won’t load. DaVinci has locked this behind a pay wall for the new Sony cameras. Only available for the studio version.

Ouch - I can't hear you dude! For a video editing video, you need to work your audio out.
