In this Physics video in Hindi for class 11 we explained surface energy and surface energy density. We also derived the formula / equation for surface energy density and interrelated it with surface tension. As we know that the potential energy of a molecule on the surface of liquid is higher than that inside a liquid, there is some energy required to form the surface. This energy is known as the surface energy for that liquid. Surface energy per unit area is known as the surface energy density.
