I found myself suspicious of my purchase of an X300 on ebay, but your concise and thorough checklist confirmed that my light was authentic. TY!

The counterfeit is actually made according to the old 600lm x300u model.

To each his own.. i can understand that if you are normally exposed to situations where you'd need the brand name, quality product to do you right then yeah grab the authentic. But I can also understand that some just want that nice looking light for show without spending so much for it as long as it functions the way it should. Or maybe buy both and keep the fake on you daily, but have the authentic in case someone wants to call you out for it 😂

Don’t think 💭 anyone would purposely buy a counterfeit

They do and it is sad. They order them from. China and post pictures telling people they have a surefire light. I feel sorry for the people that get ripped off

It would help to show 2 of the same models side by side, talking about weight is pointless to the guy that doesnt have both to compare

Too reiterate what you said and this is IMPORTANT, the fake has a battery button protruding as you stated. Where this is a HUGE issue is fitted kydex holsters like a safariland for a duty belt. When you go to holster your weapon it will 100% of the time push that battery button compartment open as it catches the holster.

Correct. Look at it before you buy it and follow the guidelines. Thanks for watching

Can you weigh them both and post the difference? Id rather buy the cheap one for holster compatability and only need it for muzzle flip plus if it works with 90% of the lumens etc, great.

Surefire and Streamlight outsource their material from china and other countries non america. What they do is assemble them here only. I have a hard time believing that even those 2 popular brands are 100% made here in the US.

Surefire supposedly does not. That has what I have read everywhere. I am assuming that is what the extra cost is. I may be wrong. Thabks for watching

Streamlight is an American company, qc is done here, but the products are Chinese. Some streamlights are assembled here but not a ton of them. Surefire is 100% designed and made here.

Buying a fake trijicon SRO right now for $30 Much better then $600 And all my research says they hold zero and basic function is decent because of the copied homework If the design works it works regardless of the ultra premium materials
