The parallels between then and now are clear as crystal. I wish I could watch it here on KZread but either way I'd love to see more content about witches on This Morning and crystals too.

As a practicing Witch for over 30 years I’m interested to see this documentary. Most documentaries about my practice is pure garbage, I will keep an open mind.

I am really looking forward to this. As a practicing Witch, I find that most documentaries about Witchcraft tend to omit the everyday practices and beliefs of traditional Witches. The way Suranne has described this, and from what I have seen here, seems to promise a more authentic, balanced, and nuanced portrayal, shedding light on the genuine experiences and traditions of Witchcraft. Suranne is welcome to visit our community in The Lakes anytime. ⭐️

Fantastic to hear about this being made. Persecution of women is a historical shame. So much potential lost.. so much progress lost, along with so many lives lost and murdered. Our lives are so much better when people are free to be themselves and empowered to just live a good life. Harming people, because of sexism or hysterical fear is absurd and so violent. It is at risk of becoming like this again, just look at the bigotry and hysteria in some parts of the world still. Non-conformity is no reason to persecute someone. Humans come in all shapes and sizes. Its silly to excuse violence. We need reasonable, kind, considerate, family orientated people who understand love and a good life. Peace in the world needs to be at the centre of everyone's intentions.

Just watched this and it was both fascinating and disturbing. Suranne was an excellent choice to lead this piece. I think what is going on with Transgender ideology fits with the persecution of women in the modern day. it’s Men refusing to pass laws to protect us, Men wanting to take away our safe spaces, men wanting to take away our ability to win sports and if we speak out we are vilified, attacked, we are being silenced yet again on a global scale. It’s the modern day version of the witch trials where “spectorial” evidence is still being used against us I.e I am a woman if I say I am and you have to agree with me despite physical tangible reality disapproving it. ❤. It also has women attacking women like in the Salem Trials as to not get attacked for your view you have to join in and attack other women to save yourself. Really thought provoking 🤯

Just read _Weyward_ , by Emily Hart, which (or "witch", lol) sparked my interest.

Sounds absolutely fascinating, hope we get the doco in NZ. Suranne Jones is a terrific actress too.

That'll be an interesting documentary to watch...funnilly enough I live in "Old Witch" ground zero where I'm from...I often wonder if the spirits of the women that were taken there still haunt the place...it's crazy what went on in your local area hundreds of years ago...not all of it was good deeds...there's always a darkness lurking in the background to an area's history. And still today there's the same lessons going on in a repeated loop. Technology may change the times we live in but some things from past loops always bleed through where women and witches are concerned.

Witches can be Christian too. It's a complex topic. You may want to learn more about it before passing judgment became we're all on this journey towards spiritual enlightenment together. ❤
