How do you know if you can just regrease the bearings or they need replaement? Also Im considering going belt drive but also was looking at Super moto kit from luna cycle... what makes a "supermoto kit" supermoto besides the street wheel bit confused. Also where in CA you live? I'm in Norcal (folsom) cant find any other riders... edit: the spacer is the meat of the sandwich and the bearings are the bun.... relax

Good Day! Thank you for sharing. I am looking for a new hub for my e-bike. It was 3-6kW in peak. (cyclone 1800-3000w middrive, several times 9kW, once 15kW if belive to ANT BMS) ) I want to go now with new QS205 (~8-15kW in peak) as a mid drive. I am still using bicycle hub, but i afraid it will break if I will install to it moto sprocket with new more powerful motor. I noticed that sur ron hub look like almost like commonly used bicycle hubs, except a bit modified sprocket holder. While you was replacing bearings, maybe you noticed how thick walls inside sur ron hub? Thank you.

Sorry I didn't take any measurements. Thus far the Sur Ron hubs have taken everything I can throw at it. The can break if you crash them hard enough though. Sometimes I have spokes pull through the hub also. I am pulling up to 13kw on my bike and it has been able to handle it even racing on rocks and big jumps.

Try using a breaker bar with a 6mm allen socket you can try heating up it up with a heatgun. Not sure i would use a torch might mess the motor up.

I've raced it in mini bike races mainly. I race in Supermoto USA, harescramble races like Hollister Hills Offroad Association, D36 Sprint Enduro Coyote Creek Enduro, and some D36 harescrambles. Mostly local races. I raced at one AMA Supermoto race. I've also raced in the Virginia City Grand Prix. Here are some playlists of some of my recent races: kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwKHHx3r4CmJZvmW7h3wRNM9 kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwIr3Q5t5eIdNmr4cbAGHspy kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwLHF8nW34avzaWCDh0Njt4A kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwLg_1PhDYs6N8cvvWVKUlIn kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwIdaYj8mYR83cdCXArpl19u kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwKF76GDtRZ8_npuygMOpMIX kzread.info/head/PLJQ7sh36WVwIFEhun9RVCbBMet_H_DkT1

Yes you can use a socket and hammer to drive it in. To take it out you can use punch and hammer. I suggest freezing the bearing when installing still.

I think hammer is the best way. Then you can gently hit it from a lot of angles and not just push it out in the same WRONG angle and ovalize the hole. Also, I use cooling spray. Ethyl Chloride, or "the good stuff" as they would say in the 80's, when it was a popular recreational inhalant.
