Cecil thanks so much for the info I'm getting the BAC 4000 controller gonna order the 72 V battery soon and I got the super moto tires coming along with the gates belt. So thanks for testing thanks for doing all the hard work! Perhaps I can provide you with some data when I get going? Anyway, back in the day, working on a supercharger project for an OEM we were stripping the cogged belt all the time gotta bave really good tension like you said which also affects over all friction but you want to keep the vibration down may be your motor speed is higher and that's where the failure occurred at higher pulley speed? Many supercharged manufactured cars get a nice wide serpentin grooved belt so no cogs but grooves and that really improves the belt life although you may get some slip at launch. If you work with Gates like I think you are, they could really hook you up. Thanks again keep up the good work, as it does get expensive!

I had a Whizzer Sportsman to get to school and work when I was 13. It had a Gates belt too. V Belt that was used as a slip element in a clutch. I carried a spare all the time. I think you anticipated belt carnage because you have so many spares. Not much changes in 64 years. Nice work on the Sur Ron so far. You will have to be careful with the front end. The last thing you want is speed wobble on that little bike.

With 20s hv lipos 🥰 for example tattu rline, or CNHL blackseries. They are made for Drone Racing. You can build a very light, high amp output battery pack for dragracing. They have 150C Rating. With a small 5Ah pack you can pull over 700Amps at 84V 😳 thats 58KW 🏁🏁

can you explain how battery voltage works? you got a 72v battery but when you showed the battery percentage after the run the voltage was something like 80. How does this come into play when tweaking the controller? When using a chain, there has to be a certain amount of "slack"..which is taken up as the rear suspension compresses and the swing are extends, how does this work with a belt,if it's under so much tension?...also,are you not putting a lot of stress on the bearings?..no expert myself, just looking to learn..thanks.

It maybe that the belt stretches a little under that load and then is slightly looser. Then the load is on again after deceleration and bang it spins . Best to keep a watch out when giving it a squirt. Accelerated stretching. Wont be much though . Maybe increase the drive sprocket diameter a little will make a big difference!

First time seen this video, and I'm pretty STOKE! My question is the price of that E-Bike exactly the way you have it; all mods. Interested in buy.

Well I'm my opinion it's worth it, 7k because a Specialized or Giant etc. Cost between $5,000 & $8,000 up.

I think I'd be happy with the whole setup minus the battery, just the controller for the extra power , the belt upgrade and brake upgrade and the same tires and I'm good

@@eastcoastgaminq4399 So, it looks like you could go up to the bac 4000 with the 60 volt stock battery? I want the bac 8000 which means upgrading the battery also correct?
