giving an 1800 3 bases was a really bad call, they should have let the other 2 players live.

Star's micromanagement was pretty incredible. That early raid was critical in buying himself time to build up, an absolute surgical ghetto-gunship. And if you watch closely especially in the mid-game, he's very often sending small groups of cheap units forward a little ahead of his main groups, which lets him bait out patrols and just shred them with minimal losses, and giving himself a great intel advantage insodoing, with very little risk compared to just death-balling your units forward, which is much less focus-intensive and usually good-enough. Star did wonderfully here.

Dude Gyle!!! You are THE premier commentator on sup comm… you always find unique ways to frame games and really tell a story whilst remaining subtle enough to allow players to shine. Love your work.

Didn't really have to watch past the point where T1 pulled their ACU's back after killing their opposites - it's almost a foregone conclusion at that point. You can't hand the highest rated player that much econ at the start of the game and then back off - all you've done is given the best player in the game a huge boost into T3 and guaranteed Air Dominance if you leave it like that. If they'd moved their ACU's south to clean up, the game would have been over the other way, but instead they effectively committed suicide by being over-cautious.

Well said. It seems so obvious right? Like so often when a low rated player gets killed off Gyle treats its as a victory and meanwhile I just watch to see who inherited their mass. Why do you think T1 didn't capatilize on the lack of ACU's on that side of the map and push with their coms?

​@@wubanizer There's always the danger that you're going to walk your com into an early t2 gunship rush, but in a situation like that where the coms weren't even that badly damaged and you just wiped their counterparts, you start spamming out mobile AA to guard them and keep moving south. With victories that early you can basically guarantee there will be NO meaningful ground defenses or unit packs left to stop you, so air assault is your only real concern.

What an amazing game. Very punchy with lots of resilience on both sides -- nice to see folks rebuilding quickly when they get hit!

This is a good example of playing according to your ranking, and not complaining about your teammates when they weren't up to the challenge they weren't likely to win anyway.

Not to take anything away from star he did great, but the opposite team killed two comms then went into full retreat and stopped building ground units....like what?

@@rabuobo if it works, it's not stupid. Then again, a higher ranked person may have managed more, but that was really impressive. He was short stacking on mass for a large part of the game too.

The difference in skill level is insane. Any one of these guys would beat me easily. Starchasm played superhuman, 3v1? Insane.

Yeah. I find hordes of T3 much more enjoyable to watch than one or 2 T4s

Team1 should have used their ACUs more after defeating 2 opponents to gain control of at least one enemy base

SainseRow probably a reference to Saints Row, a videogame series, that before it's latest installment (which was bad), could've been described as GTA but sillier.

The first two Saint's Row games were actually serious in their tone, only with the third and fourth games the serious switched onto a more silly style. We don't talk about the fifth. But yeah, the series can be described as GTA-like in it's theme and gameplay.

Starchasm is playing like a beast, pushing back on three fronts against 3 APM.

This game is the only one that can somewhat compete with Beyond All Reason. However, my understanding is that unlike BAR FAF is not fully open source as Engine is still proprietary. My question is - if the original developer does not release the engine as Open Source, would it not be possible to move it to Spring Engine? If not, why don't you all just move to BAR?

Honestly, not a great game. Full share, obviously 1v3 the one solo has a massive eco can just spam early T3. When I saw this I knew the game can only end one way. And it did. Its always like this come on... Top player are craving to get other low ranked player s bases...
