When I first bought my Supra the only thing I hated was how terrible to speakers were. I never listen to music in the car anymore so I got used to driving around with no sound system. I also like to drive with no music just to be extra cautious to listen to the car and make sure I don't hear any strange noises that come from the car!

Haha same here, the oem ones are absolute trash, on top of that mine are blown, in the process of ordering new ones right now lol

If you want bass you need to get some sound deadening and do everything you can to seal up the door. A little bit of sound deadening goes a long way, so you don't need much and can keep the weight down if you want to. An amp will make them louder but there won't be much bass until everything is sealed/deadened, you'd be surprised.

Great video Ryan, this will help me with my speaker upgrade, my next little project, currently mine has the 23 yo OEM speakers, and they are cactus. Had the door cards off yesterday, to fit new OEM door belts and noticed their size and condition of my speakers, must say though, I thought the enclosures were pretty cool. Just wondering if you have a video for upgrading the rear speakers. Thanks mate.

Just to let you know if you want better sound. Put some roadkill on the door behind speaker. And you won’t hear much rattle and hear the music much better. They also have the foam kit that has like 3 circle foam cuts and it just sticks to the back of speaker and from speaker ring to front of grill to blast all the lovely sound into car with no rattle. Just wanted to let you know a cheap way to get some extra sound out the speakers. 👌love the videos.

It’s called “ stinger roadkill 3 piece speaker kit” on amazon. The sound deadening they have smaller kits that you can roll on and apply instead of buying the 36sqft. They have a 4 piece door set. You can lay it on your speaker frame you got that is the black abs so you get no vibration through anything from the mesh screen and between where you screw your speaker to the metal door. I did it on my car because I put some nice speakers in my car and wanted the most sound I could get for what I paid haha. Hope this helps.

You need to change the amp to notice a real difference. Get that done asap.

Just a new, high-quality 4" would be enough in the original box -- those adapters are junk.

Put some better speaker wires on those speakers whenever you your amp
