Maybe his involvement with Plankton is what's keeping him alive on land. As we see in the third opening, Patrick doesn't know whether to choose the good side or bad side, and the fact that he somehow was revived after his death can mean Plankton was able to bring him back, and wanted him to join the dark side. So he gave him the ability to breathe on land. Either way, amazing work man. Can't wait to see the second episode!

Patrick is dead. This Ending is just flashback recap of moments of his life (or at least a day before hes dead). He hates SpongeBob (after the Frycook games arc), but cant manifest it because he still loves him too as a friend (thats why their friendship moment get shown in flash back). He got reminded of plenty of people around him, that he is not the only one with these feeling. He is truly loved. He know that...but that feeling of hatred cant still truly vanish. Thats why he run. Run so far so he cant and wont hurt anybody. Especially everyone close to him, his own friend, best friend: SpongeBob. But no matter how far he run, his friend could always find him anyway... Their friendship always find a way. To reminds him, to give him smile. Even until the end, until he got sliced to pieces by Squidward... His friend always finds him. Shedding tears for him. Trying to avenge him. Bury his reasoning that Squidward is controlled & brainwashed by uncontrollable power, just to enact revenge on his name. His friend always find a way to him. Even out of water, where no sea dweller can breath and lives. The land of no living sea creature has business on, their friendship always reach him. And now he can reast and be at peace. RIP Patrick.

Okay, I usually make meme comments about the manga and stuff, but real talk for a minute. You go so hard making these, and it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. So much respect, dude.

What a beautiful song!!! This arc apparently will focus on SpongeBob and Patrick's friendship, apart from the fact that it references the first opening in which the evil green-eyed Squidward kills Patrick in the Krusty Krab and Bob arrives on time, I'm very excited for this second episode, keep it up, Narmak!

I honestly love how him and Romi are both working on this kinda. He's working on the show and Romi is working on the opening and ending songs for it

I remember this arc. After the episode "pressure", in which spongebob and Sandy compete to see whether land or sea creatures are better, patrick returns to the island to train on the surface after failing to protect his friends from the seagulls.

It's funny to think that your chosen art style was probably to save time with being either a solo creator or a small team, but now you're so good at it this would actually look worse in a normal anime style, pretty inspiring really :)

Another beautiful Ending

I remember the fandom wars surrounding the theories of the cloaked Starfish being a resurrected Patrick. I wont say anything for the anime-only watchers but seeing them fuel the fire for those theories again in the opening and ending songs is SO fun!! Im sitting back and eating my popcorn watching people squabble about it on threads. While I'm obviously also all for the juicy drama of Sponji and Squids relationship, I'm so glad that the adaptation isn't choosing to downplay his relationship with Patrick too. I feel like its often ignored by the fandom (especially with all the shipping). But their friendship is one of my favorite parts of the manga and what gets me rereading it. Cant wait for the ANGST in the next season!!!! Prepare yourselves anime-only watchers, its a doozy.

@@janysalinas6838 Jeez, I don’t think anyone could get away with that today, That might not have aged quite so well… I mean, it was practically spelled out all the way back in chapter 5419, but still. The discourse was crazy. I’d seen arguments that this made him a better villain, but then counter arguments about how it ruined his character and vice versa. Thank god the later arcs rectified this. Anyway, I’ve heard about the recent chapters, alternate universes like binary bottom and randomland, a trip to the North Pole, (I always appreciate more humanlike characters imo), apparently they go to the surface again, and iirc something about hillbilly aliens and goofy goobers hiding deep secrets. Are they good? I kinda fell out of it a long time ago, just now I’m revisiting this.

Like.. This really hit hard in like a really different way. Like especially the part at the end with Patrick got his head cut off by Squidward, like I know the probability of this show being a lil bit based of the real show may or may not be a thing but based on how Spongebob and Patrick truly get along and then throwing them into Suponjibobu and then having Patrick go through this just really hits on a way different level. If you were to take a real deep glance at this opening and just realize what happened with Squidward and Spongebob it lowkey hit really different like I lowkey teared up a lil and ik this is just the real beggining but gosh Narmak this is arts work this is already up there with the top anime produced by like Mappa.

On a serious note I could genuinely watch a full length anime by this guy it's up to that quality by a single man

What a good nod to the manga. At 0:04 you can see Patrick holding his green cape, the same one that featured on chapter 42 when he disguised himself as the ominous figure. Truly one of the adaptations of all time

Patrick's character journey during the whole second season was probably one of my favorites. You see him go through intense isolation in the background of season one, but it really hits you in the second exactly WHY he'd search for purpose in someone as vile as Plankton, especially when it was sold as being morally neutral. Seeing him fight and climb and lose everyone to his first genuine DEATH. And then climbing back towards friendship.... I love this show.

Hiya Narmak! I’ve been here since OP 1, i was 7 when that banger dropped and now I’m going on 14 in two months (and still stupid). Your videos inspired me to peruse animation, and I am now taking animation as a subject in animation for my GCSE’s (british highschool qualification shit). Thank you, Narmak. Rip toriyama🕊️

Patrick's story is one of my favorites of all time, finally being able to hang up his battle thong and wear his shorts was such an emotional moment. this man DESERVES his rest after everything he went through.

We are truly revving up the fryers for Patrick's finest hour, aren't we? Looking forward to it! Also, how's the wife?

This was just amazing and lovely!! Excellent execution as always Narmak! Also!: as a theory to how Patrick is breathing above water, I believe that being above water on the island symbolizes his death and passing unto the afterlife. Throughout the ED, we can see him reliving all of his memories. Even near the end of the ED, we can see the blood appearing from his neck (OGs remember why :> ) And to top it off, Patrick appears wearing his tropical shorts which he hasn't worn at all throughout the anime, suggesting that he may be on a peaceful (and sadly permanent) vacation! All of these small details really add so much more depth to the animation! I love this and thank you for your hard work Narmak❤ (Edit: Timestamp for the blood scene :> 1:21)

just finished reading the Secret formula arc, Narmak studios giving suponjibobu justice with this fire adaptation, just a reminder for the animators who are working hard for such a beutiful adaptaion, hopefully they get the rest they deserve to animate the next arc!!

Its shown that his above water for 2 reasons either hes dead and hes having a flash back and having visions of reaching the thing he cares about most or the unlikely case he went up on the surface to get 1 past thing that spongbob left for him since he knew he was going to come up there to off himself and the reason its unlikely is because he got sliced while on the surface and he got sliced in the krusty crab so it wouldnt make much sense

Well my theory is that I think Narmak is just taking elements from the OG series, like when the main cast go above water for like 5 minutes, so that could be why Patrick is breathing. My theory on how Patrick is still alive after being getting his head cut of is that in the OG series we see Patrick lose a hand, then regrow it. So my theory is that when Patrick died, they sew his limbs back together but still presumed he was dead, then his limbs reattached together and came back to life. And I think the reason he has a second and more violent personality (hash slinging slasher), is because in the OG series, when Patrick cut off the karate hand, the hand still had a violent personality, so I think the reason the second personality is more violent is because it experienced the violence of Squidward under the effects of chum.

Okay I think this has been sufficient warning. The entirety of the Frycook Arc played out in Patturiku's head, as he was in a six week coma on the island. After his fight Sukuwiduwarudo, his head was brought up to the surface by Suponjibobu to regenerate. In the opening we see Patturiku and Suponjibobu fishing for glowing jellyfishes, the start of his dream while here we can see the very real headcut inflicted on him during the fight with Sukuwiduwarudo The whole arc is a comatose reflection of Patturiku donning the mantle of the Hash-Slinging Slasher, in order to teach Suponjibobu the true meaning of Friendship, all of Patturiku's memories come flooding back, we see the flashbacks of happy and sad times in the opening as well as here. The BFF rings symbolizes this bond perfectly. If you listen to the full song by ROMIX, the lyrics explicitly state "Please Wake Up" near the end. And what comes after this is the true Sukuwiduwarudo redemption arc... believe me, "violent storms" is an understatement... Honestly guys, I need a break now, my tears started running and I can't write anything anymore. Sorry for all the spoilers but I just had to get these bittersweet emotions off my chest. This anime has taught me to love everyone, and cherish your relationships for as long as you live. 🥲

I always assumed, that being a starfish, Patrick was able to regenerate. Afterall, you have to destroy the brain of a starfish to actually kill it. So I thought maybe we had an Ajin situation, where Patrick's body grew a new head, and it messed with his personality. But this closing just blows a Kakyoin hole in that.
