Fantastic song. As a metal head growing up in the 80s, all of 70s music that seemed "acceptable" was the harder stuff like Sabbath, Zeppelin etc. So it took me some time to discover those more "sophisticated" 70s rock bands like Supertramp, Steely Dan etc. Glad I did eventually.

Supertramp earned their superstar status one song, one record, at a time. This song from from the very successful album BREAKFAST IN AMERICA was their crowning jewel of the decade. Other songs like RUDY, HIDE IN YOUR SHELL, TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME, and the excellent musical journey of CHILD OF VISION are worth a listen. Keep that inner child open and alive for as long as you can, Maddie. It keeps the smile on your face. And that makes us all happy. Enjoy

A curious blend of elements of prog and art rock and bluesy pop. More from the 1970s could include songs and albums by the bands Steely Dan and also 10cc. Plenty more, of course.
