Rajesh Khanna aka Kaka had been the first superstar of Indian film industry. He ruled the masses like a real king and his fan following was simply stupendous. The scale of craze and charisma that he had is yet to be witnessed. Such was his appeal and persona that young brigade especially girls used to send him letters inked in their blood and his cars turned red with lipstick marks all around. People used to wait since 4 AM to get his glimpse while on shoot. Truly a megastar. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Honestly Rajesh Khanna was a versatile actor, we usually think he was too innocent to take on roles like Amitabh bachan did. But Rajesh Khanna could, it's just that maybe he did not realise that he was losing. He probably thought that just one more hit film would bring him back. It's sad though, must be so hard to go from the ultimate superstar to nothing Both are great, Anand Is the best movie and they both starred in it perfectly

Both are legend....Any actor can not replace any actor.... But an actor can overtake the legacy from other actor.. Rajesh was first superstar...that was an era of romance... Amitabh overtook that legacy.... After zanjeer the film scenario was changed... Now the youth n labourers got a new hero an Angry young men..... Rajesh Khannas stardom went down..bcz now it was not an era of romantic n love movies... Also rajesh got insecure with amitabh.. Rajesh khana own behaviour led to his downfall Whereas amitabh groomed himself as an actor down to earth in all decades After deewar sholay...stories has been written keeping amitabh in mind as hero....with action , romance and all emotions...n multiple starter But amitabh overshadowed every other actor with his performance N he didn't stop here...even at 70 he is working...

Without 24 hour News channels, almost non existent media, almost no telephones , non existent marketing - movies became silver, golden or platinum jubilees by word of mouth. Won on merit an all India competition and the got lead roles as a prize - unlike star kids of today or those who came with recommendations from politicians. Everything he touched became gold - Amitabh shared screen space with him in Anand and then became famous, resurrected Kishore’s singing career, gave break to Salim Javed in Haathi mere Saathi, gave YashRaj films the superhit Daag. Could carry solo actor movies without even a female lead like in Aanand, Ittefaq, Bawarchi. Unparalleled

He was number 1 from 1969-1973. Amitabh Bachchan was number 1 from 1975-1992. The biggest thing about a superstar is how long he sustains stardom, Rajesh khanna had huge success but due to overconfidence and indiscipline, he lost it to Amitabh. And Amitabh Bachchan is still there today as a highly bankable star

They were both two different types of actor. Rajesh was a sensitive and romantic actor who changed Indian cinema. He was the brightest and shiniest of all, but he burned out quickly but left the most unforgettable foot print. Amitabh is a professional actor who is a bit too heavy handed. His star is shining for a long, long time leaving big but diminishing star.

राजेश खन्ना ने रूमानी फिल्में की हैं तो एक्शन फिल्में भी की हैं,जैसे कि रोटी,सच्चा झूठा,छैलाबाबू,मकसद,धरमकाँटा,निशान आदि और सारी फिल्में सफल भी रही हैं।वे इन फिल्मों में भी एक सुपरस्टार की तरह नजर आए थे।

The real story of two super stars of Bolly wood Late shri. Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachhan is being told here in this episode and it was interesting to listen to it as many of the viewers are unaware of such real stories relating to these two stars. Those were the days when Rajesh Khanna was ruling Bolly wood and this continued for many years and the arrival of Amitabh in the scene made all the difference. Some kind of competition emerged between the two which became a known fact in film circles in those days. It was nice to watch Amitabh giving away the Life time achievement Award to Rajesh Khanna and Rajesh acknowledging it with the famous dialogue from one of his movies.
