I just purchased this and love it! I tried screen casting and it works beautifully.

Thank you for this review. I'm enjoying the Google Drive addition! I found screen sharing fun and easy to use. While I still enjoy my reMarkable 1, the Supernote A5x is my favorite device.

I'm super excited about this. My work is very math and programming based. This will be great for me at work to explain equations and concepts to colleagues instead of trying to type equations in Word or Notebook or drawing ugly graphs in Paint 3D.

Agree, only had my a5x for a few days and love this thing. A little bit of a learning process when getting it but I think with all the videos I have watched (mostly yours) I have been navigating it pretty easy now. I only have one book on it now (that is not in my Kindle library) I love because I am writing on it (DRM FREE EPUB) and linking back and forth with one of my notes. Works with no problem. The only thing I would love is to find more books I can get on it outside of the Kindle app. They don't have to be drm free but at least easier to get on the Supernote. Either that or somehow let me link to my Kindle books. Anyway, thanks for your channel. Anytime I see you pop up a Supernote video I am jumping on it!

@@Rsmin I found it very much so. Just getting Google Play activated was quite a pain. I find that the hype of the Google app store is overblown as very little of it I found useful on an eink device.

Your videos on e-ink tablets are some of the best out there! Thank you for giving such great reviews and updates on features. I've looked into different pen options and wanted to see, which one are you using in this video?

This casting is something else! Amazing. The casting from the boox looks so outdated now. But well, we all knew this was coming. Just a question, because I am not familiar with Supernote devices: on your notebook, do you have access to colored traces? RGBs that are shown like that when exported? If so, how do they look on the casting? The boox casting can show colored traces, which is the one redeeming quality of it. Has that been done by anyone else?

As i am waiting for the A4X2, the screen sharing feature of my A6X is really helpfull to read academic paper :) without it, errr, it is a little bit painful for the eyes.

I am new into the e-ink tablets, and the supernote a5x, after seeing all of the reviews, seems the most attractive to me. Is there a new supernote tablet to the market? You mentioned that you are waiting for the A4X2, so Im curious

@@julianandressalazar5755 According to Ratta, they are releasing a 13.3” screen device in Q4 2023 (correct me if I’m wrong anyone.) That bigger form factor will be a huge attraction for people who want a standard paper/pen experience, given that A4 is a very common size for physical documents. Not to deflate your interest, but given the nature of how expensive E-Ink screens are, expect the A4 device to be anywhere from 600-800 USD 13.3” E ink tablets are reaaaaaally costly

Screen sharing is good... only that it cannot be possible through a public guest WiFi. I cannot connect to the work WiFi, and trying to screen share through the open WiFi results in the page not loading. Cloud sharing: Is it possible to sync to multiple sites (supernote cloud which is good to visualize notes etc plus dropbox and/or google drive?)

Voja, your reviews helped me in the decision of adopting SN A5X and A6X a few months ago. I love these devices, the only problem I noticed on the A5X is that the screen protector is coming apart on the bottom and was wondering if you've experienced this? My SN never leave my desk and I'm extremely careful with it. My second question is, if it's possible to sync to the SN cloud first, and then to the Google Dropbox? Thank you for your great reviews!

Thank you for watching! I have noticed that back on the first A6 (non X version), it had small areas around edges that would look as if it would "come apart", but the reality is that around 3 years in, and it never did, it stayed put and some areas even became more even. So I think that it could be the case of the edges simply not being set in all the way, but I am 9nly guessing here, as I didn't see the extent of the issue you have. If it's more extreme than that, then it's maybe an idea to contact them and ask either for a replacement or for advice. As for synchronization, you can only use one cloud account at a time, so you can do that, but you would need to manually switch, and such a workflow is not a favorable one, but it certainly is possible.

I love your content and the community you’ve built! Can anyone help me? I have an A6X and when I try to access my google drive, my notes are synced in an unreadable file type. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does screen mirroring support colors? i.e. can you have colored penstrokes?

You simply choose the highlighter pen. Or do you think the editing cut? It was a cut there, as I was probably rambling on and on about something irrelevant before getting to the point about the highlighter :) There a lot of those that are left cut out on the "editing floor".

I have seen using Boox Note Air 1 for a little more than a year but not happy with it. I writing surface just doesn't feel good which makes it hard to write. I have tried a paper--like screen cover but that doesn't make it much better. The other feature I really would like to have is screen sharing to do whiteboards with my team of engineers. Now that there are a few devices with screen sharing capabilities, which device is the best for paper--like writing and screen sharing?

Supernote has both of those things and they do both these things very well. But I haven't tried all e-ink in the market so can only provide feedback about the supernote

I've been gravitating towards purchasing a Supernote but I'm struggling to find any videos... Supernote or other, that expound annotating *'non-protected'* eBooks, PDFs many but not eBooks. If Supernote will help me review my work via an ebook with notes and annotations then I've finally found the device I've been looking for.

@@ernestintownandjackintheco1024 After Brexit _[I am a Brexiteer],_ inflation and everything else it was rather expensive but after a week of research _[watching KZread videos... everyone is a researcher these days]_ I knew it was the only one that offered the tools I need to review my work in a way I understand. I'm sure I'll use it in other areas too and have already devised the folder structure I'll likely be using... the downside is, if it is as good as I think it is I'll probably want to purchase the A6X too... for when I'm out and about. :O

Yes it can, and it can annotate it. I recommend that you watch my Supernote A5X playlist, especially the in-depth review.

I have a couple of questions. What would the advantage be to sync to Google Drive versus SN? Can you sync files to SN and G Drive if you wanted? I Am having a nightmare transferring files from my Papyr to my PC.

Well, the advantage is that you bypass an external cloud service, or that you have direct access to your files, directly on the Google Drive, if Google Drive is your regular storage environment.

Just stop it! You're making cracks of regret seep in to my decision to adopt the Scribe over SN 😢 Voja always has the best reviews-Clear and away the best device and the best team behind it. Now just waiting for that 13" model 🤤

It works with a Bluetooth keyboard, but not with Google docs. However, you can create and edit Word Doc files natively on the platform.

I was super excited about the Supernote, but now I hear that it doesn't allow Google Play?!? That's very unfortunate, then it is not an alternative. An eInk device that doesn't allow me to read my library, kindle and other drm books, is not versatile enough :(

It does have a Kindle app, but no, it's not a Google Play device. For a more tablet like experience, you might wanna look at Boox devices.

I doubt that, although it would be such a good move for them if they could strike such a deal.
