We’ll see if he can keep himself off the ground and not get frustrated when people race him hard. But he’ll never be Jett. And wont win another title.

@@carguy2256 MMA just doesn’t have the grassroots structure yet. You can slide into the UFC with the right manager and limited fights. The guys that play pro football, hockey, motocross, they have all been through the ringer and back. In MMA you are more in control of your career than any other sport. So it kind of evens out. I know many UFC fighters that are lazy and only train when they want. They tell the coach what to do. 😂

MMA is more demanding. But I don’t think anything can produce the heart rate these riders endure for the length of the races.

When Ken Roczen came back to race the young phenom Jett Lawrence at High Point and almost beet him I had a new level of respect for Ken and realized how lucky we are to have him in this sport !

Roczen and Barcia are always good for the first 2 or 3 rounds and then the benefits of the PED's they take before the season wear off.

In 2017 I was in our bike shop working. Our sales manager had just got back from Lorretas because he was managing a race team. I said "how'd it go". First words out of his mouth were "oh man it went great, but dude have you seen Deegans kid?" And then continued to go on about how blown away he was. And I've been following ever since. And it has been so friggin rad to be able to watch it all unfold. What an exciting time for moto.

Yeah he really did. I've always followed the sport. I'm Carmichaels age. When I was a kid Ricky used to come up to Georgia events and just kick the absolute sh:t out of everyone I knew. But I'm a 40 something year old grown azz man. I don't have time or want to follow someone just because they're popular on social media. But that kid's got it. Deegan is going down in the history book with all the greats. The haters and naysayers better get used to eating their words for the next 10 or so years. Just like Carmichael. I knew that kid was going to be a champion the first time I saw him ride.

These guys are the reason I have a Peacock subscription. Indycar,IMSA are great bonuses.This coming season should be amazing with so many fast guys. I have never had a favorite and only care about competitive racing and we're gonna get it.

Can’t wait for this season. Stacked at the top and so many up and coming.

As someone that was a lifelong football fan and couldn’t find anything that captured my interest quite like it, I agree with you. The last 6 months I’ve been obsessed with sport and at 32, I’m mad I didn’t see it sooner. I understand why people invest in this sport now the way they do. Bought my first 250 today lol.

I have no doubt that this year's SMX season will be the best since 2011 if anybody remembers that year. I don't know if anybody including long-time dirt bike racing fans out there like myself realize this but given the rider lineups in the 250's, 450's, even amateurs, and the history, I see the past, present, and the future of the sport all united together. Not to mention the most diverse lineup of OEM's competing in the sport ever. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Beta, and of course, Triumph. Does anyone agree? This year is going to be awesome.

He's a great rider, I've been around the sport a long time, that team (Honda) tried everything to keep him from crashing at the most inopportune time, but it keeps happening. It's not the bike, it's the mindset. Maybe a new team will change that, I hope so, I really like watching one of the best ride and especially as fast as he is. Chase is a great guy, too. I'm excited for this new season- there's a lot to watch for sure. Don't know about it being the pinnacle of MX- those boys in MXGP are no joke. I'd love to see a series of races between our guys and theirs- think MX de Nations over a number of rounds. The winner of that would be the true world champion. My .02 cents.

Woah there Jason on the gforces are the same. I love the bikes but they aren't pulling 5+G's like a Formula 1 driver. I am however really looking forward to this season except the fact that I probably won't be able to watch any of the races because it isn't shown in Australia.

@@zydecbro Mookie was out injured as I mentioned, Barcia was not missing the whole MX season nor was Sexton, cooper had no ride , so I will ask again who apart from Mookie did not race Jett in the MX season, he beat all the Heavy hitters except for Tomac, he also beat cooper on the Yamaha in the Paris super x and roczen again.

The thing is he went sooo long without winning a race after he got that 2018 championship. Last season he looked so uninterested. He’s older and a father now. I expect 5-10 finishes from him realistically

⁠@@iceKOIdhe podiumed outdoors this year. I think its more of a comfort thing… in 2022 he won 7 races. He knew he was one of the guys.. next year he starts bad, uncomfortable on the bike. People count him out then he steps it up. Hes a pretty quiet dude. But i still think he’s a podium contender and will live in that 3-5 alot

There is so much that is going to make this a great season. The riders competing, the championship format, the new bikes, the idea that mid to lower tier riders can actually come home with real money. It's going to be absolutely insane and I cannot wait.
