Oh my god, it's so beautiful. You guys did a really good job of answering a lot of things that the other reroute kits didn't do quite so well. Glad I'm in the market for a reroute, but now I may have to swap this one out one my daily to my project.

Really glad to hear you spreading the word about cyl. 4 cooking most often. You guys make real nice stuff. I love this part you are showing today. $250 is reasonable for such a "neat" reroute. I learned a lot from you here. This setup will add miles to the life of the engine.

Badass video I bought the kit a few months ago and was redoing my clutch and other stuff getting ready for turbo and was feeling overwhelmed with how much I’ve torn my car apart. The coolant reroute is probably the first step I’ll take and I was worried about doing it. But after watching this video I am confident and now know how easy it’ll be f

@14:13 - the mounting bolt that goes right there. How are you able to tighten that? There isn't enough clearance to get a standard wrench in there (opened OR boxed), and both the smaller socket and the larger 3/8th's doesn't fit for me. Thanks!

Just finished the install on my 1990, engine installed. The NA reveals some specific issues that were not address and any of the online materials found. A learned a few things that may be of help. First, I could not with confidence install without making as much room as possible. Removed the ignition coil, valve cover, and CAS (and few other small things). My 1/4" socket set with swivel head ratchet was very helpful. The lower and upper bolts are not reachable with a 3/8th drive. On the top back bolt there is not clearance for a 3/8" drive socket (maybe a thin wall). Second, discovered (the hard way) that installing the temp gage sensor would not allow the CAS to be installed. Was not expecting that, but reversed the order and all went in, but had to modified an old box wrench (did not have a crows foot) to get the sensor tight. As a racing application, this would go in easy with the engine out of the car. An in car install is a big challenge but possible with the correct tools. Third, and just a recommendation if you are going to make such a big effort to install this reroute, go to a hard water line to the radiator. It is worth the effort.

Gorgeous kit. No mention of whether it can be run hotside or not? Also, I was really curious about your comment that the heater core line at the back of the head is an inlet. All coolant diagrams I've seen shows that coolant is pulled from the back of the head, into the heater core and fed into the waterpump joining with the cold water from the radiator. Is this not correct?

Same memory of every Mazda or 'other' diagram of any B-series engine coolant path. How coolant goes into the heater 'return' (Mazda's term) hard line from the Water Pump Manifold Inlet (normally a suction??) breaks all the rules I learned about fluid flow.

15:15 I sent you an email about the tapered threads. I was only able to get 1 turn in before I felt it was going to do damage if I went further. And the stock radiator seems to not be as far over towards the passenger side as yours.

Any thoughts on installing this reroute while running a FFS Supercharger? I'm thinking I'll need to relocate my washer fluid bottle, and then I may be able to snake the upper rad hose through. I'm very interested in installing this kit, but worried about fitting that hose.

Will my coolant reroute for my Miata require me to change out my head gasket? I thought I heard some where that my 2005 N/A Miata head gasket has covers for the holes in the block for coolant flow. Or should am I fine to just install my reroute and worry about that if I was pushing crazy power or something?

Right, seems like I'd want to use the block off plate with a fitting (remove goose-neck), run line from front of head to oil filter and then to the back of the head which you guys have shown as being blocked off in the car. I could run it 'back' to the mixing manifold where the heater core and radiator lines come in but then i'd just be dumping that heat back into the engine. Would also have to block off inlet on mixing manifold that is fed by the stock goose-neck t-fitting.

But now Isn’t the problem reversed? Instead of cilinder 4 to be hotter the cilinder 1 will get the same issue? Because this system doesn’t allow the coolant to enter to the back and exit to the front. It’s the same as factory setting but reversed. So, what is the benefit?
