It also depends on how willing the Flash is to use the full of extent of his speed. He's afraid to punch at the speed of light, he was afraid to go go beyond the speed of light until that part of Justice League. If the Flash starts entering the time stream, going into the speedforce, and using that kind of stuff, it would be a much more even fight. But he's very tame and I don't think he can afford to hold back like that against Superman.

He ran fast enough to defeat brainiac with one punch when he pushed passed his limits, only problem he nearly phased out of existence and said he would never do it again. So unless the flash was willing to put himself in real danger of nearly sacrificing himself or come close to it I don’t think he’d stand a chance.Even when he defeated brainiac it didn’t kill brainiac it just put him out of commission

Zod also wasent just some kryptonian either. He was the greatest general ever created with all genes related to combat, battle, and strategy. He has decades to centuries of combat experience with beings on relatively the same strength levels, while superman has (at that point) never had any combat training (especially with anyone on his power level) and is just using brute force without skill. Zod matching him isn't too surprising. Also superman was holding back because despite the destruction he didn't want to kill the only members of his species, while zod was going for total domination from the start.

He used pure speed against non adapted Kryptonians. He tried that with Superman and it didn't work out well for Flash.

We are all forgetting that Flash stopped Reverse Flash and Outruned Darkseid's Omega Beam while Superman was hit by it, Outruned the Black Racer and the Runner Himself. The flash is not just fast, he is already a God-level speedster.

I think we're all forgetting that it was the "dumb" Barry that stopped the 2 Best kryptonian soldiers. The "experienced" Barry had way more moves. Vibrating and throwing lightning... maybe gathering some kryptonian metal pieces... It's game over for supes. Now if we think about creating clones, stealing speed, trapping in the speedforce... Well..

This is the problem with y'all, you see a video of a live action character and you start naming feats from comics.... When did Dceu flash steal speed, create clones or trap in speed force, this flash have never done anything like that so he can't do it yet. Also this is a fight between Dceu superman and Dceu flash... Not a fight between them during the Kryptonian invasion... Where is Barry going to get a Kryptonian metal to fight superman? That's just like saying if Barry can get his hands on kryptonite... This isn't a fight with prep time.

@DanCo I rewatched the Flash movie and there's this particular scene in the Wayne Manor where Barry speaks to Kara for the first time about Kal El being his friend and looking for him. And at some point Barry tells his past self - "She looks mad. Get ready." he then follows up and says ''she might do laser vision, or she might do a freezy breath or she'll just start throwing crazy''. I think Barry has prepared himself for situations like that, probably with Batman, where Superman might get mad again and start using laser vision or freeze breath. That's why he quickly tells his past self these stuff.

A cool thing to notice is the colour of Barry’s lightning changing from blue to orange in his movie, the version of him that recently got powers has blue lightning. The purple lightning from the dark future Barry is the fastest so far. Just like the comics lightning colour shows speed level

I think you left out something important, He could have known about Kyptonite being Superman's weakness, considering how close he's been with Batman after the events of the Justice League. If we consider that the Flash knows about Kryptonite and his mastery of time travel now, He could travel back in time before the fight begins and hand over some Kryptonite supplies to his past self. That would definitely change the whole situation. I am confident it would be game over in that case because even Batman was able to level the play field for sometime with Kryptonite.

Although Superman can not time travel like the Flash, however, on December 15, 1978, in Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve, the scene when Superman flew around the earth counter clock to save Lois Lane's life. Flash 1. could have time travel to retrieve the Kryptonite from Bruce Wayne in the BVS to fight Superman and General Zod. One more scenario that needs to examine, Barry can shoot out lighting, and so does Wonder Woman since she's the daughter of Zeus(and she is continuously developing her abilities), it's obvious in the Justice League DC cartoon, Shazam injured Superman with his magic lightning. Since the Flash lightning is not magical but it was directed to him and added with chemicals. It's possible he can damage Superman.

I don’t think people realize just how OP Flash’s phasing is. In ZSJL the MotherBox explosion scene, the whole (PLANET) and the league including (SUPERMAN) get disintegrated in an instant besides flash cause he phased through it which means his phasing can easily bypass Superman’s durability By using what I’ve already stated, there’s literally nothing keeping flash from hand phasing Superman’s brain (or heart) and scrambling it killing him instantly. Not saying it would be easy tho Either one can one shot one another Superman because of brute strength, flash because of phasing

Y'all know that the Kryptonians Flash fought haven't adapted to the sun and gotten the powers that come with it and that's the only reason why Flash won.

But there is also the argument that there is a possibility that any form of Superman actually has the potential to be the fastest .. he just doesn’t know , just like he barely used his powers and never had gone all out. And it takes him decades to realize he has more power and can harness energy from more sources than just solar radiation ☢️ , one comic he can use even the red sun and kryptonite he is not vulnerable to anymore. The newest version of Superman has the ability to live outside the realm and laws that universes and galaxies abide by, meaning reality, time, speed and gravity don’t apply to him anymore. He’s been able to literally beat universal , multi and omniversal beings that are basically impossible to take down. But his levels of strength and speed just are so incomprehensible and his love and morals for doing the greater good for others , combined with the possibility he doesn’t just hold back his strength and power. He holds back his speed as well. Either way he’s def either as fast or the 2nd fastest being in the DC UNIVERSE.

I've done a ton of research and superman has to cap his speed while he's on earth so he doesn't cause havoc from going too fast and flash can go faster on earth because the speed force doesn't allow his speed to do servere damage to his surroundings. Superman is like a god and flash is still human. If flash punches superman with 50% of his power superman would giggle and if superman returned the punch with 50% of his power then the flash would have a huge Rip tombstone.

Flash only has two ways he can win which is phasing and time travel. Superman can somewhat keep up with him until flash starts moving thru time. So unless he phased thru Superman before he notices flash won’t win. While Superman can win if he gets any of his moves in. Lasers. Super strength, freeze breath it’s just more ways Superman can win then flash. Reverse flash tho would prolly time travel before the fight starts and phase thru Clark’s heart before he knows he is even there

Yes, Superman is much more powerful than Flash is and would definitely lose in a normal scenario or without Barry's time travel capabilities. But with the ability to go back in time, things are very different. You can't say it's not in character to use time travel for Barry to win, knowing what not to do to lose. Literally, that's what he does in the movie. The death of Batman and Supergirl was more of an immovable point of fate, but in a fight to the death without exact conditions, it doesn't have to be that way. So Barry would just have to time travel and figure out what to change to make Superman lose and the thing is, even if he doesn't come out on the first try, Flash could keep doing this indefinitely until he wins.

My point is that even though Zod catches up with him, he's never fast enough to kill him. Just as Zod had his attention divided, that Flash was much more inexperienced than the Flash we already know. Still my thoughts of this battle are 60% Barry, 40% Superman.

Superman's time travel ability is limited to traveling back in time to specific moments in his own life. In other continuitie, So, does this mean that Superman has all of the same abilities as the Flash? Not necessarily. The Flash's time travel ability is powered by the Speed Force, a mysterious energy field that allows him to move faster than the speed of light. Also if you watched the movie you will see that flash actually phased his hand through a kryptonian's heart to instakill it... the only reason the ofther flash tried to keep resetting the timeline is cuz batman and supergirl die. And as shown when the other barry phased out of zod's grasp, it is safe to assume that the kryptonians even the peak ones like Zod cant counterphase him.

Can flash speed punch destroy earth? Because Kryptonians body is more durable than earth. The movie of flash is inconsistent, even if flash can move fast still his bone is not strong enough to punch a kryptonian body very much harder than any steel available on earth. If he have a strong bones, then it's be very heavy and he needs muscles and super strength to carry it for him to be able to move fast. If he is strong, then he should be very strong even at normal speed, much stronger than superman. Just imagine a man, falling very very fast on earth, no matter how fast he falls, he would be squashed hitting the surface of the earth, without denting it.

And imagine the energy it would take to move him just the distance of ten feet at the speed of light😂. You’d probably need at least 100 times the total energy available in the entire universe just to have him cross the street at that speed.

The one thing you got wrong is, "zodd synchronized with a more experienced flash." Which is incorrect, he synchronized with Dark Barry, whom is no where near og Barry's strength, abilities, or speed. Og Barry had to save Dark Barry Countless times...

If we are being real rn the only reason flash looses is writing since the feats are always so inconsistent, even with the DCEU Id say flash wins since he demonstrated phasing snd crushing a kryptonians heart which phasing bypasses any durability superman has aswell as making flash literally untouchable the only real way superman wins is outsmarting which wont work either since flash can think so much faster than superman he can literally think of every single way superman can attack and find a counter for it before superman flexes a muscle, even if superman somehow manages to use freeze breath on the flash, the flash has overheated and exploded with lightning so he would escape that too.technically the flash can also be as strong as superman too since he can density shift as well as using the infinite mass punch. In the very end I love both these superheros very much TLDR: Flash has a counter for anything superman can do and that these two are one of my favorite of all superheros

Superman died, he looked like and AIDS patient, he only came back to life because he was next to the sun. and doomsday was really affected by his punches. At the end of the fight doomsday used his mere hand to stab superman, though he had a spear stabbed through his chest, superman is weaker than most people you thunk. The problem with these arguments is this. Superman has done everything flash is doing. Period. Superman routinely traveled through time in the past. Superman routinely phased through objects in the past. Superman can also throw an extremely high mass punch as well, and with more force because he is a million times stronger than Flash.There is NO infinite mass punch. It is just an extremely high mass to energy punch. Flash cannot grab Superman's heart at all. In order to grab Superman's heart, Flash would have to un-phase. The second he does that, Superman's body would disintegrate his hand. If he could even penetrate Superman's body. End of the day, Flash is just a super fast human. EASILY BROKEN. He has NO invulnerability at all. One mistake, and his bones brake. His healing factor is NOT strong enough. Flash can be injured by simply tripping over his own feet and banging into the ground.

Not to mention that Superman doesn’t even have to be on the ground in order to fight Flash. He has so many long range weapons at his disposal. Super breath can easily throw Flash off balance, freeze breath the ground all around, he can shoot his heat vision with precision from space if he wants to be extra. He also never utilises his X ray vision in fights. In combination with his speed, x ray and heat vision, he can surprise attack anyone from the back if he wants to be a sneaky sob.

In that movie, both the older more experienced Flash and the newer Flash with blood lust killed them so that shows you he didn't have killer intentions while facing Superman and if he did even at a slower speed he could have killed him. Let's get the facts straight, Superman is in no way near Flash's top speed!! Supernan can't even move fast enough to travel through time. Flash just on speed alone can travel through time and Superman can only reach his top speed in flight and it only builds up not instant like the Flash. To end this all Flash has to do is go to his past and kill him because he knows everything about him

Literally superboy prime was dogging the shit outta of the speedsters at their best and they had to trap him in the speed force, which didn’t work. And current Superman is way stronger than that. Superman also didn’t need the speed force to travel through time. He can move so insanely fast, he can move through time. The guy punched a whole multiverse apart and knocked out the word forger. He sneezed a whole solar system away and can lifts planets. He can also use the phase technique like flash can to dodge attacks. He also learned the infinite mass punch. He also tanked going through a red sun, which is like getting hit by trillions of atomic bombs. He also blocked an attack that had the speed force, plus all the powers in the entire DC multiverse, with nothing but his beat vision. DO NOT downplay Superman my guy. Flash is powerful, but Superman is just on a whole other level. You also can’t erase Superman from time. Doctor manhattan and other 4th dimensional beings have tried, but cannot, cause Clark is literally a fixed point in reality. He cannot be erased from it.
