The fact that people think this suit is shit, blows my mind. For years the fandom complained about less comic accurate suits and wanting something from the pages. Then James delivers and everyone hates it. The failure of these movies falls on the fans being picky little nerds that are never happy.

There is a difference between what works for comics and what works on-screen. And for that reason most of the on-screen suits had to be either modernized or made to make sense in-universe of the story they try to tell. As the extreme example of this approach are the early X-Men movies with all the unnecessary black leather (and the trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine now shows that the yellow and blue Wolverine suit can look great), on the other hand DCEU and MCU balanced the approach, generally managing to pull off a modern style while still retaining a recognizable element of these heroes' core aspects and then there's this... I can appreciate fully embracing a classic design of the superhero comic book character and I'm sure it could be done well, but this just seems too tacky and goofy. A rubber yellow belt, a big red trunks underwear and a blue suit that is ill-fitting on a well-built actor who should convey the peak of the physical strength with his appearance looks like a major step back when it comes to the advancement of superhero costumes we had a privilege to witness through the MCU and DCEU phase. I get it that Gunn wanted to return to the classic look, and while the idea behind it is very appreciated, the execution is, to say it bluntly, absolutely terrible. Even if there is an in-universe explanation for this look (the same universe where a team of killers and rebels wear more modern and sensible costumes than this, as seen in "Peacemaker") it is still a bad look.

Comic translation doesn’t work with costumes, into film. Looks goofy and childish. Having those slightly darker hues and no underwear outside…that era has ended and carried on too many eras…it’s not the 30s anymore

Bizarro, though very interesting, doesn't seem like he'll be in the movie. Or at least much. Especially when we look at the released photo of Superman putting on his boots, we get what appears to be Brainiac's base attacking. I dunno what to think about that plot leak yet.

The mask is so David can have more screen time as Superman most of the time while he’s fighting ultra lmao until the mask comes off it’s def ultra man in the black suit lol it makes so much sense

As long as they give ultra man a sleezy Chicago-Mafia accent idc who they cast. It would be pretty hilarious of David Cornswet could act that.

​@@justinaller4899Chadwick, Holland, Cavill, and others suit were baggy behind the scenes. Those were intentional so that actors could move properly. VFX will do the rest.

Ultraman is a manga comic. And he is 300ft tall. That suit sucks.

At this point you just seem to make up words made out of others when you form sentences, or essentially rename actors however you will when you state their name save for 1-2 letters. It's sad in one hand considering you genuinely come with good information and updates, ridiculous on the other hand when you look at the fact that you come from a country that LITERALLY has eloquent speech skills. except Gunns will easily be the best as he's a massive comic book fan and every super hero show and movie he has adapted have been massive successes, Guardians of the Galaxy hasn't had a single failure all of them were loved by the fans and critics, same with his soft reboot for the suicide squad, his peacemaker series was a massive success and is even being renewed with a soft reboot, Gunn is a massive comic book fan of Marvel and DC and unlike Fiege he doesn't bend a knee like a little bitch and take it in the ass, he literally fought DC to allow his joke about Batman to be allowed in Peacemaker vs Fiege in his shoes would've not stood his ground and let them control his work and creative freedom

Not really, how many batmans have we seen? Does anyone dislike the new batman? No. The problem isn’t the same character having new movies with a new version of that same character, the problem is the story, people want something new not something they have seen before.
