I had no problem with what he was doing. Was really looking forward to what he going to do with Batman, and where he was going with the Darkseid saga. Made me start getting excited about comic book movies again. People have different tastes. Some want comedy, romance, no violence. Upset Superman, stole some clothes from a washing line, he killed a person, Batman doesn't kill and all of that. Had no issues with any of that and I was comic buyer when I was younger. Enjoyed the look and darker feel and tone. Man of Steel is one of my favourites of all time. Should have catered for both sets of fans, let Snyder do his thing, and finish what he started, and Gunn do whatever he wants to do. I guess he didn't want to be out shined and wanted all the attention and glory for himself. He won't be seeing any of my cash. Not wishing him any success.

Henry Cavill was the best Superman they've had in years if not the best! They really screwed the pooch on this one. They should have kept Cavill built the movie around his age then all they would have had to do was set back and filled their pockets full of so much money they wouldn't know what to do with. I prefer the suit with NO trunks, like in the New 52 Era, drawn by one of the greatest, Jim Eff'n Lee. The way I look at it is that the Kryptonian culture was OD communist and subscribed to the Military Industrial Complex, the suit from the New 52 looks battle ready, hence why I chose it. I don't like James Gunn because he is wayyyyy to Indie. He produces movies with the weirdoes, freaks, and geeks that no one ever cared about, surprisingly, makes them famous, like The Guardians of the Galaxy. I grew up reading comic books in the mid '90s, mostly I'm a DC fan because they wrote better than Stan Lee. The Superman with the trunks focuses more on Clark Kent and the goofball that he is, rather than a titanic force which is Superman. The one with the trunks is more Earth bound, culture wise, no trunks is more Kryptonian.

Cavills suit actually had metal plates built into it. Yes he was in great shape for the movies but the used metal plating to make him look even bigger.

If he hadn't slagged Snyder so much there would be more goodwill. Pass.

I’m sorry, but this suit looks like he’s wearing a captain America Jean jacket and he just slapped the Superman emblem on there. And what’s with all the crinkles in the suit? not Zac, but Geoff Johns .... great comics writer but he chose to be a snitch and a corporate hack for the right price. Part of Gunn's hiring contract was keep Geoff away from any further movie script writing.
