This is actually my dad's favorite book. When I first started collecting comics my dad asked me if I could find him a copy of this. I did and then eventually got myself a copy

I appreciate it, Austin. We hate to lose it, but if the simple fix of a thumbnail helps us reach more people, it's a small price to pay. We're still making the old versions for posterity. I'll find a place to post them.

wonderful episode guys. I loved how Ethan and Ben would make a smart joke about how something should be in the story and Sal would be like "it is". the looks of pleasant surprise on their faces, hilarious. I remember seeing this story as a kid. thank you so much for doing a show on it. Ever since reading it many years ago, I've often wondered how it would have gone if it was truly Bruce Wayne with kryptonian powers. imagine him going through all his training to become Batman while developing these incredible abilities along the way. That is a story I would love to see. Thanks again guys.

Never been a regular DC reader but I've always loved Elseworlds and its because of owning this and Gotham by Gaslight as a teenager and then later Red Son. That's the true glory of DC to me- the origins of so many characters are so well known by the general public that it's fun to play with them and yet stays accessible at the same time

Cam LeBlanc even though I love the back issues I'm getting tired of crossovers every week even though some of them are cool. I would like them to go back to regular trades for awhile at least. I feel like they haven been doing crossovers for weeks. :)

Fighter Pilot Stop complaining. You have been complaining a lot lately just sit down and enjoy the episode. There doing there best to bring you videos every day. Who cares what the thumbnail looks like or what they do on back issues.

This might be my favorite Elseworlds book. It took my two favorite comic book characters, and made them the same character.

Sweet sweet episode!!! this was way better than the Superman/Batman story arc where Clark loses his powers and it transferred to Bruce, becoming Batman with Superman's powers... thumbs up to you guys, Sal, Ethan and Ben (and to Tiffany too, being somewhere... hehehe) also, if you can, I would like to recommend Marvel's Powerless... I really would like to see your reactions on that book's take (i'm not gonna spoil, though)...

If you guys plan on doin another book like this soon- my vote would be "Gotham By Gaslight"

With Superman red son getting it’s own animated movie, I’d absolutely love to see some of the imagery in the comic brought to animation, could be such a cool concept

I was thinking that if you wanna make it longer and play a little more with the character flips, you can do a version of Kara where she explains Krypton and everything to Kal, then she joins him as Nightwing (because she would know about Krypton's Nightwings), and the suit would be just as the Nightwing suit we all like, but with the colors of Batgirls' costume, deep purple and yellow/gold.

I cant remember where I heard Sal talking about this, but I was really hoping he would do this, also Superman Jungle Book and Ronin Robin one day would be amazing

That Lois moment feels like that moment writers like doing with Batman where he realizes he's not just scaring criminals, but others too. Forget which animated film it was, but I remember him changing up his costume and bringing in Robin, and when J'onn brings it up, Batman tells him he set out to scare criminals, not children.

Great episode guys. I understand the change for the thumbnail unlike some other people in the comment section. Keep up the great work and videos love every back issues. I actually like it. It looks cool.

Great Show guys. Also, since SAL likes spawn sooooo much, here is a bit of news for him. Kevin Smith is apparently roped in to direct Sam and Twitch set in Spawn universe. Apparently, since Todd mcfarlen is also involved Spawn making an appearance can be a reality. I remember you guys speaking only of the Cop duo in good light in the entire Spawn back issues episode. So here's hoping to have a Spawn Renaissance!!!!

The comment about Clark being almost genetically attracted to Lois is hilarious given the fact that there is an old Legion of Superheroes story where Superboy falls in love with a woman from the future at first sight, who turns out to be a future descendant of his and Lois.

Now I want the movie version of this, except the Waynes knew he had powers and always told him not to save people, and at the end Thomas waves his head no as he walks backwards into the gunman.

Feels like a missed opportunity that he didn't show up in dark knights metal

Hello, I am very interested in the stories of superman and batman, but I have a big problem in that comic. I know that I am sure that they released an edition that included speeding bullets, and superman: kal, on the back of speeding bullets, which was in the middle ages but the problem is that I can't find that comic anywhere, and I saw that edition for the last time on ebay at a cost of $2500, but if anyone knows if it exists without it being in separate volumes, just that united edition I would love to know if you can tell me if it still exists thank you very much. 😁😄🤣

Oscar Rivas I don't think so? The last two stories we did just happened to be pretty short.

I read the comic today, and despite the mediocre Knightfall-esque artwork, I really enjoyed it. Itvdoes a smart take on what would happen if Kalel was raised on Gotham City by the Waynes and fuses Lex and Joker together as a frightful algomation. I'm not a fan of the costume, though. The only distinctly Suoerman feature is the diamond-shaped emblem, and the mouth civering's pointless. His Superman transformation doesn't look good either.

I wonder how many times Ben has threw ideas of how things happen in the book and he ended up being correct about it, I know this has to be like the fifth time at least.

I guess Zack Snyder had some influence with the Lex Joker, look at Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. His performance reminded of a bad Heath Ledger impression.

Wow I didn't even know this was back issues. It was out for hours. I think the change is a mistake to be honest. People who are use to the couch pop Ups aren't going to know this is back issues in lies it's on the thumbnail. I hardly knew until I clicked and saw the opening. It it was me I would stick with the couch pop ups I mean why change it?

Fighter Pilot It's more of playing the KZread game where a produced and flashy thumbnail is more enticing to a person going through their recommendations than just one with three guys on a couch with a title beneath them. I'll miss the old thumbnails too, but I do understand where Sal and Tiff are coming from.

If they could put it in there some way it will be better. I hardly clicked on it because I didn't know it was back issues.
