Very clean install . Thanks for showing . I just bought the same pump. I think it might be a good idea to route the open vent just over the edge of the sink …same as a washer drain hose would …in case of internal failure in the instance of discharge water shooting out of the vent. At least you could trap most of it in the sink basin and drain

That’s a good idea but remember the plug for the cords is not water tight.

Very informative. I was thinking about pump failure of your system. It seems like you would want all the plumbing to run through your utility sink including your washing machine and then run it out the pump. That way you would see that the pump failed and you could capture the water in the sink. I liked your cord control technique. I liked and subscribed. 👍🏻

Adding to your great advice, I would tight a lint filter on the end of the machine drain hose, any ligh cloth to catch the lint, before goes to the pump. A pair of socks works great.

I considered that but I didn’t want to see the lint and soup scum building up in sink. You bring up a good point about pump failure. Thanks for the like and subscribing.

The reason you have two cords is because if the float quits working you can plug in the other cord and still operate the pump .

You didn't install in accordance with the lift pump manufacturer instructions.. Vent has to run outside..

My cord grommet was lose and pushed out by inside water, which causes water flooding. Do you have any ideas to make the rubber grommet really tight to the top cover, thanks

I don’t. And I had a flood when the switch failed. My flood came through my low vent, but would have come through the wiring grommet anyway.

Heyy nice video. I got the same one. Question - when it pumps out all the water is there any water left inside ? Mine is like 3/4” of the ground left

I don’t know. I have never opened the box since I put it in. I suspect I would see the same thing.

You need a GFCI outlet since your pumping water.

Did you cement the discharge pipe to the inside of the lid or was it just a snug fit so the lid could be taken off and on while the pump remained in the basket?

The pipe press very hard against the lid and makes a good seal. It can be easily opened.

Is that 4" PVC tower some kind of kit ? I see you also have hangars on the wall for the 1-2" pipe . where did you get this stuff ?

Not a kit. I made this stuff up from items I purchased at Lowes. Also, that tower was not necessary.

Yes, it’s no different than my old lift bucket. I may lengthen it.

These floats suck! I have had mine apart so many times. Well last night my pump stayed on and burned up. Not thrilled
