When you say equity what do you mean? Your rhetoric sounds more like you mean equal opportunity, but "equity" has become jargonized. I have read that CA is getting rid of advanced math courses in the interests of "equity of outcome", and putting all students regardless of ability or achievement in one academic track , which happens to not be the calculus/AP math track. Another question: Why do all schools need to be STEAM schools? What about students who excell in performing arts (my son attended Anton Elementary and benefitted a lot from the arts collaboration there with OC Performing Arts.) Etc etc.
