That’s just real racing, and how the rest of the world does it. Only in America is launching your bike at someone with the intent of putting them down, a thing. Bam Bam wouldn’t exist in a world title, race direction would suspend him until he either got the point or lost his ride. In Australia, Bam Bam wouldn’t have teeth. He would get flogged so hard in the pits he wouldn’t dare to block pass his own mum afterwards. Eli races clean, so does Ken. Cooper races hard but fair. If you have to put someone down to get past them, you’re not fast enough to pass them, and you’re a moron.

If things start going a little wrong, eli will collapse, just like Webb did to him in his two title seasons. Eli doesn’t handle adversity well at all. No arm injury to Kenny and the dude would have a lot of second place trophies.

I knew it was unlikely, but I thought Sexton would transfer some his outdoor speed and stamina to this race. No, I wasn't hoping Tomac or Webb wouldn't win, but just suspected that maybe Sexton could find that race in him. Obviously I got it wrong. Tomac's earned his place among the greats, and Webb's sure making a showing again, which is great to see. Either the broadcast team focused too much on the front three, or that track didn't race very well. Maybe it's those long straights? Would be nice if they could find a re-design that shakes things up next year.

The issue with the tracks is it’s like a self jerk off for the designers to make them rutted technical death traps which only 3-5 guys can actually ride, let alone race on. For safety, they need to move to mesh ramps for the take offs of big jumps, I don’t like seeing talent get cross rutted trying to jump some xgames level monster quad and not line up next week. They need to design the tracks with passing/racing in mind, instead of making high speed trials courses. I don’t care if it’s a bit more simple, it will be much more fun to watch 10 bikes go at it for the win than it is to watch the leader lap up to 6th place.

East/West should be an amateur title. 250 should be a proper title with no age limits, and it should run the full season alongside the 450’s. It would add depth, extend careers, and provide a better testing ground for rookies, preparing them for the big class because they would be racing against seasoned vets in 250’s, instead of just competing against the kids they’ve been competing against their entire careers. And lastly, the track designers need to put down their ego and stop creating high speed trials courses that only the top 3 guys can actually ride.
