Ya thats a possibility but wont be in the celica lol the motor has to be tore out went into a ditch over tje wonter and ripped a hole on the oil pan and ya lol

I honestly think that somehow making this car wider (tastefully) giving it a more aggressive and confident road presence is the way to go. I really like Coupe’s/ Tiburons...but I don’t think they look great they’re kinda squished and tall looking for a coupe on the outside but I feel like a small adjustment to make the front end wider and less factory cutesie would go a long way

Make a video of all the mods that you've done to the car and put a link from where you got them, so we tiburon owners can have an idea of how much it cost to build a car like yours. Great looking car by the way.

I bought a already built up 06 Tiburan GT 2 yrs ago and I like the car. Easy to work on and reliable. Only problem I had besides replacing the belt was the 02 senser.

Yeah that's why I chose the supercharger. This is my first build ever so I was intimidated by how complex a turbo system can be and this was just much easier to install.

Yeah it's definitely expensive I agree. It's been great so far on stage 2 with the reflshed ecu. There's still a lot to do before the build is done. But if you are in any of the facebook groups "Tuscani Nation" or "Boosted Tuscani Nation" I would love to talk to you about your build.

Tiburons are really decent cars that get overlooked. I wanted a car that has speed potential but also reliability so I just bought a tiburon. Hoping to charge it at some point. Sounds fantastic with an aftermarket exhaust and can look fantastic lowered with a body kit

You should paint that GUN-METAL grey! All your red/blue accents will really pop

Bought my 2006 Tib 6 speed SE 2.7L last July got it for $1500 and I love it man 🤙🏻 have plans for it but haven't been able to do much yet

Would you recommend putting a turbocharger on the 2.0 model? I'd like to squeeze more hp from the engine but I also hate turbo lags and I don't wanna give up the throttle responsiveness, nor the torque at low rpms

Thinking of supercharging my tiburon when money allows. Did you have to build your engine for the boost?

Nice informative video Carson Engelhardt, not too many people are doing recent videos on the 03-08 Tiburon 2.7 especially with a modded add on supercharger. Where did you get your hands on a stage 2 Next Generation Motorsports supercharger i thought they are no longer in business? The place i know that sells the Next Gen supercharger kits is Fiebruz and i don't think they sell the kits with the Next Generations Motorsports logo since they basicly took over the business. You ask opinion on what color valve covers you should go with i would say go with a dark dark red would look nice if the manifold is gloss black but since you got a Blue manifold on there i would go with silver which matches the silver accents in the engine bay and exterior color. I see you didn't upgrade to headers did you upgrade the exhaust system? It would be one of the first things to upgrade before going to a supercharger, cat-back exhaust, cold air intake and headers are usual upgrades for first time mods. I would go with all DC sports exhaust system and headers to my opinion and thats what i'm using on my 2003 Tiburon GT as well as a Injun cold air intake but i'm not running a supercharger its all motor for now maybe in the future, its just too expensive for these supercharger kits i just don't justify spending 5-7 grand on the baddest supercharger kit they make for the Tiburon and still not get close 400whp on a supercharger and also the stock engine internals are the limit. I have a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST and i rather put the money into that. Let me ask you this did you upgrade your fuel pump if so what kind is it? also i see you're not using a stock throttle body from what it looks is a 70mm throttle body from next gen motorsports? You didn't mention in the video that you had to cut a hole under the hood over the throttle body to make clearance for it.

Yeah they unfortunately went out of business before I came into the tiburon scene. But I was able to purchase mine used and freshly rebuilt by a shop so it was in mint condition. It is unfortunate that you can't make a ton of power yes, and it cost me a lot, but there's something about having a unique car that I really enjoy.

I'm going to go ahead and mod my 04 Tiburon. Only has 85,000 miles on it and I've had so much fun driving it since I bought it, but now I want it to look way nicer and perform better.

This is to my last comment, sorry my bad i thought you had a blue intake manifold until looked again its gloss black. Yeah i would definitely go with dark red or candy apple red on the valve covers. I just watched you're other video after watching this one now it makes all sense you bought the the super charger 2nd hand from someone but i still wander where you bought it from, good find thou. Also let me what kinda upgraded fuel pump you got, i'm wandering if it is a Walbro 190lph if it is how is it installed in the cars fuel pump assembly, was it difficult?

Are u building the 4Cyl or V6? I heard that the 4Cyl is easier to build to get more HP

how easy was the whole install? i've got an 05 elantra GT, looking into a V6 Tib swap + supercharger you have, but I guess the supercharger install would be the least of my worries lol

The supercharger install is super simple! I highly recommend the NGM Kit if you can find one.

Masked it off and prepped it and sprayed it with gloss black single-stage paint

Its a aluminum valve cover so those spots are normal because of heat cycles. I don't know the perfect way to explain it lol, but either way, nice job so far on the build man! I agree with the guy bellow me, I think they should be painted blue to go with the black supercharger. I sugercharged my 2005 Tucson which had the same engine you have, its making around 309whp. The 2.7 is a very reliable and strong engine. As long as you have a good tune on it, the engine can take 500whp or more without blowing up. I owned my Tucson since I bought it brand new, it currently has 179,000miles on it and I just supercharged it a few months ago. Never had any problems with the engine, only oil changes and timing belt changes. I also have full bolt ons too, exhaust, no cats, LSD upgraded & the awd system, crowner cams regrind, and a tune + a ton of burnouts haha. I never opened up the engine past the valve covers. Still running on the stock internals.

@@BossAct7 got one used from a tib owner in my area. My Tucson has the exact same engine so it was a direct bolt in technically. I did have problems clearing the firewall though. Remove the stock intake manifold is a PITA on the tucsons.

In a stock tiburon, the intake air temp sensor is screwed into the intake manifold on the back. Since I replaced it with this, I had to relocate it to the air intake. It may not be a necessity but I did it anyways.

I got a question would you happen to know anyone that has a parts car tiburon i need the plastic piece off the passenger seat where it has the net pocket (looks like a trim) i thought it was just a click in piece on the back plastic piece unfortunately two are clip in the rest are actually screwed in. I need a black one. It’s called on the back HOUS’G FR BACK POCKET. I called the dealership so hopefully they have one for cheap but if not i need source this part lmk please. The reason why i was trying to take it off someone went through my car and ripped the pocket/netting. So i was just trying to tuck it back into the trim unfortunately i guess i should of left it alone but I’m ocd and like things to look nice.

Dude I’ve been looking for a tibby gt 6 speed for a while now because I’ve planning on getting a new car, but I’ve been have regrets :’(. I had a 03 Tiburon GT 6 speed black a long time ago and I had to sell it because I had lost my job at the time and wasn’t going to be able to keep up with payments. I know not many people like the car for its performance, but I miss the hell out of it to the point that now I’ve been looking for an 03-06 GT 6 speed so I can have old car back again. I’m sure there’s better options out there as far as performance for its price, but as any true tibby owner will tell you is “there’s just something about this car that puts good feelings inside you”. I’m way down in South Florida so I know salt is not an issue for me luckily. I remember driving it around and the car sounded so good and to have other people looking at it with envious eyes and asking “how much hp does that have?” put a big smile on my face every time. And after seeing your video has permanently inspired me to get my old car back at any cost. Hope it lasts you for my years to come and to looking for mine again ;)

Yeah there's something about the car that no other enthusiast understands unless they've owned one. I still look back at my car when I walk away from It and it just looks so good. I can appreciate how special the tiburons are even though they aren't perfect.

The Tibby is most def underrated. It's not the best looking... The interior isn't the best quality, but it's soo fun to drive. You should get the tibbs younger brother next, try a Genesis.
