SUPERCHARGED CELICA ON NITROUS (THIS IS QUICK) | PART 2

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The long awaited video has finally arrived! Headphone warning, speakers are better due to exhaust note drone.
In today's episode we take my GReddy Supercharged, Methanol-Fed, Nitrous Spraying 2zz Celica for it's first full power test run. This Celica is making approximately 255whp and has had most internal weight removed for this video, no speakers, amps, etc - the weight of the Celica is approximately 2412 lbs without me in it. I did my P/W calculations being conservative since the weight measurement is with my old wheels and without the heavy supercharger on it. I do not have an accurate weight since adding these mods.
SPOILERS:
The Celica ran a 4.2ish 0-60 according to my cameras, there is much negotiation for framing and testing, but I believe it is in the range of 4.25-4.75 seconds. I tried to be as transparent as possible here, but will eventually get a proper 1/4 mile time and 0-60 ET when possible.
The car is SUPER fun to drive, and I am working on the tuning to get the power band in the middle more optimized for nitrous being fed, it feels as though something is too conservative in this power band. Until then, I am so proud of how far the Celica has come and how it is performing. This tune has been reworked many times to allow for an aggressive map maximizing performance of all components.

  • @ConnorNation

    @ConnorNation

    A stock internal 2zz can handle a 50 shot fairly easy. There are guys doing 75 shots but I would remain conservative, personally. Nitrois should be ran at wide open throttle if stock. If built, you can tune for it. There are guys in PR running 100 shots.

    There are really no definitive stages for Celicas, since no company builds packages to do mods and base map tunes. Its mainly a one off type modding. This Celica does not have any work to the internals of the motor though! Technically all "bolt on" since supercharger is just a few bolts.

  • @ConnorNation

    2 жыл бұрын

    Eh, for the most part sure. My tuner said I should build pressure on Nitrous before utilizing it. In the times I've sprayed before, I never used a bottle warmer and left pressure at standard. I never had an issue with it before. The tires are summer performance tires, but cheap ones. When I built this car, I didn't care for spending a lot because I knew I was aiming to buy a GTR. If you notice, I haven't even driven this Celica much because I jumped into a whole new world of performance. The Celica now is waiting to get modded for autox. I was always a better driver for AutoX than straight line shifting and launching. I'd rather let a DCT do the work for me in a line! I may make more videos on it now, but I think overall I maybe have like... 50 hours behind the wheel since this was completed? Lol. It's been in storage since.
