Just brilliant to see this footage ! I was there in Wanganui to see Hennen and co. The RG and TZs were awesome to see at such close quarters

Mike Hailwood came to New Zealand to retire in about 1974. Rode in a couple of classic bike races in New Zealand and Australia. Was still retired during his commentary of the Marlboro series in New Zealand December and January 1976 and 1977. He rode a Ducati 750 SS in the 1977 Castrol 6 Hour in Australia and won the 750 class. 1978 off to the Isle of Mann to win the senior TT on a Sports Motorcycles Ducati 900.
