God I absolutely love that Godzilla. It really takes what one might complain about on an ordinary Godzilla figure and just completely flips it on its head by making it flow so well into such a niche situational figure and it truly is perfection. The only Super7 figure I even bothered to get because it’s just so incredible. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take too long to come. I preordered the pop Mothra from the same Australian website I ordered this from and it took quite a while to come after it released, so let’s hope that’s not a recurring trend! What is a recurring trend tho is the amazing reviews, bro man

I'm absolutely surprised with how Destoroyah turned out. Ngl I was worried he was going to be a brick. Very glad I was wrong. I'm considering getting him now. Great work my dude.

Update: I got him. He came in the mail 3 days ago, and I love it. It's probably my favorite Super 7 so far. Well worth it for any looking for an articulated Destoroyah figure.

This wave looks SO good!! The ONLY complaint I have is that I wish they bulked Destoroyah a tiny bit more. Just cause I feel like he looked so menacing in the movie not only cause of his design, but because of how large and big he was compared to Godzilla. Also, are you thinking about getting the SpaceGodzilla once it comes out??

Not sure about SpaceGodzilla, if it doesn’t come out around the same time as MinusGoji, or during a heavy month, may just indulge on both! All about timing!

Great review! I'm actually impressed with these two, the last releases were quite the letdown but seeing changes and improvements being made is a very nice surprise.

so glad these turned out great because I am a new collector that preordered the minus one ultimate, and i have my fingers crossed that it turns out amazing.

YO ROB!!!! Happy Holidays!!! Sorry for the lateness but will will say this: this is easily Super7 best line. First and obviously foremost, 1200 degree godzilla looks absolutely amazing yet very sad (especially after the passing of the late Kenpachiro Satsuma) as you can see how much pain Godzilla's feeling during his last seconds of life before giving his last energy to his fallen son. The detail is amazing, the paint is amazing, the fact nearly the whole body is translucent, it's simply amazing. Destoroyah, oh boy, he is simply a *BEAST* As the perfect lifeform, Destoroyah looks fantastic with the details and the paint is pretty nice. The biggest plus is the articulation, boy Destoroyah just dominates with that articulation it's insane!!! The size is fantastic while your mileage may vary with proportions, it does scales nicely with burning and for the price, it's a great pick up. Great review and hope you have a happy holidays and a happy new year!!!! Metroid away!!!!

Well, you just sold me on them both and I wasn’t even looking at super 7, as they haven’t sold me on the previous waves at all. Im mainly an sh monsterarts and Xplus guy, but these two are incredible looking! Don’t think we’ve ever gotten a melting Godzilla before, so at this kinda detail I thinks it’s a must buy. People complain about these figs not having enough articulation? Just how much is really needed and especially when they end up looking this damn good?Fantastic review man, just subbed!

Just got my Destroyah in the mail today, I can't wait to set it up!

These look great! Especially looking forward to Space Godzilla and Moguera now. Although with that being said, I think there's something stylistic about the Godzilla Ultimates where the Showa era designs would probably have come out better than the Heisei designs have so far. Like, the Super 7 style could really work for them. That and an articulated MegaroGoji at this size would be amazing.

Honestly tuna melt was the only thing in the line that I was too interested in. Saw what was going on with first wave and thought hard pass until I saw the preorder for him and decided "why not, this is at least unique". Cool to see he and destoroyah improve on things a bit, I'll have to save up for him too.

Dude it took foooor EVER for them to come in, i had forgotten about em when i finally got them lmaooo but theyre so beautiful 😍

So they'll give the extra skeletal head on Meltdown Godzilla a jaw hinge, but instead of giving any of the other figures hinged jaws, they give us open and closed mouth swappable heads?

Because a skull's jaw opening and closing doesn't break the illusion of the sculpt as much with its joints compared to how you need to do an opening mouth on a fleshy head.

Godzilla looks a lot better than I expected it to. Probably gonna end up picking him up. I think the move going forward is seeing how super 7 stuff looks before getting them. I'll never forget the pain of seeing what wave one looked like in person for the first time after having spent nearly $200 on it. Destoroyah looks like a great figure, I just cant see myself picking it up because the mouth paint honestly sells for me.

Definitely going to buy these when I got the extra cash they look fantastic

The timing of this figure and kenpachiro satsuma’s death (Kenpachiro was the suit actor of the heisei godzilla) Is tragic, But also seems like it’s made to honor him.

Godzilla is definitely me when I was told that the salsa verde was "not too spicy" (it was.) With how good these look, then the -1.0 Goji is going to be amazing. Need more Minus Goji.

This has quickly become my favorite figure line. Both figures are just so damnm cool..... aside from the fact that I sliced my thumb open trying to swap Destoroyah's heads....

The meltdown looks way better than the promo picks might have to get him already for Destoroyah on Pre-Order

I would've bought destroyah, but I'm not seeing stuff I really enjoy on him, and melted goji is pretty nice looking, which one would you suggest for an animator?

I’ve heard some shit that makes me weary of super 7, but these may be something I actually pick up from them. That meltdown goji… How has nobody at any other company thought to make a meltdown goji? That was my first question when I saw this thing on the horizon. Both figures look incredible. After the somewhat lackluster burning goji and mecha goji, I think these new figures are exactly what the line needed. They fit the style so much better

wow Im absolutely sold on that Destroyah. Also yes get the Super Mechagodzilla if you can, it's amazing.

The shiny translucent paint makes sense for the Goji figure, as he was glowing when melting down. Fantastic figures, it's great to see another company make these quality figures other than SH Monster Arts, and hopefully get their quality control in order after seeing how bad it is for their Minus 1 figure. I'm definitely getting Super7's Minus 1 over SHMA.

Here's the thing, as some1 who owns the SCV Destoroyah... I actually honestly prefer this over the MonsterArts. This has all the joints I need for a Destoroyah figure, minus a jaw hinge joint but unfortunately, that's Super7 for ya & I don't even mind the fact that he's not as bulky. I kinda like that better! I'm not a fan the wings are separately jointed on the MonsterArts & some of the plates of the wings have fallen off on mine, which is frustrating & it's just not a necessity to me on a Destoroyah figure so yea, definitely would take this over MonsterArts. 0verall, I find the Super7 Godzilla line a bit underwhelming but I will definitely be picking this up when I can.

That Destroyah looks awesome. With some minors paint fixes, it would look more awesome

Skipped detroyah, but I preordered meltygoji last year on bbts, still waiting for his arrival, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have one of, if not the most iconic godzilla moment on display.

I'm so sad I missed the pre order. Nobody has done the meltdown for Godzilla. it looks so good.

I didn’t partake in Wave 2, so your guess is as good as mine. It’d be rather cool if they were compatible, though!

Meltdown looks great and I'd love to get it. Destoroyah on the other hand... Idk, the sculpt itaelf is my only problem. The actual detail, paint, and articulation looks great. The wings just look too small for my liking and the upper body in general doesn't do it for me. I don't wanna say it's because it's skinny, but it just feels off. Idk if I'll try to get it, if i do it's mainly to mess with, but i wouldn't have it as a main representation of Destoroyah personally

The sh Monsterarts is slightly the same with sculpt and articulation

Interesing that the wings are on the arms and not that back🤔 havent seen the film in a while but i thought they connect to his back🤷

I would have bought most of the super7 figures (including destoroyah) but why do BARELY any of them have a hint at the jaw? It’s not that hard? It’s for the same reason I didn’t get the neca Rodan it’s just annoying to continously swap out the heads

I think the bone g is smth based off gojira mid oxygen destroyed but it might be burning g

Meltdown Godzilla looks good and is a sign that the glossy paint CAN work in the right circumstances (though, I don't think the right leg looks particularly good), and Destoroyah is the exact situation where that glossy paint DOES work. Now if only the detailing looked better. From a distance, it looks good. But not so great up close.

Melting Godzilla is actually really beautiful!

So the limited Bandai titanosaurus that came back on Godzilla store us I missed out on it 2 months ago but I bought it when I came back I got my package today but the titanosaurus was not even in it. it was goji 75 which is weird cuz he was not even listed on the site. Edit: but anyway I hope y’all had a great Christmas this year Edit 2: so I reached out to Godzilla store and they said I can keep the Godzilla 75 and they will be sending the titanosaurus

personally I would take the arm and tail and make a new arm and tail where the bones are falling off like he's melting but also just falling apart.

Destoroyahs not the worst but I always though this lines msrp was too steep. I’d get into them if the deals were better but seeing as they are selling out and in the after market already it’s prob not worth it.

The lines base price is very much on the more expensive side, and I wish It wasnt. Which is why I’m pretty spotty with them so far. Gonna be selective at best, I think that’s the way to go about it.

I don't know, considering destoroyah was foaming at the mouth so the closed mouth head isn't too bad.

They did that here with the alt skull head, and while I wouldn’t mind more of that… I think the only reason they did this is just because it’s a skull and the hinged jaw didn’t make things look off. If that’s their reasoning for not doing hinged jaws on other releases.
