A good looking figure for a reasonable price of $45.

The Mattel one looks more cartoon accurate to me, aside from the glove.

@@kingdeadpool20 I seen them. I like the classics because they feel more solid. Motu classics is the best current line any company is making I just hate the seam they put in the middle of chest just so the upper body can slightly flex down a little.

Super7 have done a great job when it comes to the Thundercats Lion-O and I look forward to seeing future releases from them moving forward. Aside from the Thundercats logo being off center on the belt and the articulation being a bit limited, this is still a great looking figure. Thanks once again Spot!

I really enjoying your reviews, and i' m quite happy that you have decided to do the super7 Thundercats also! Here in Europe this are quite expensive 75€, so i will try to collect at least the main characters (i have already Lion-O, Panthro and Monkian) being my favorite cartoon from 80s, this figures hits my nostalgia badly.

I just love how super 7 thinks more accessories equals an insane price point. Lol yet they are using 10 year old bucks from a different company. Super 7 has got to be the laziest company in the game. I mean same mold, sloppy paint, it's just not worth over 50 bucks.

The accessories would be great if it weren’t lacking in relevancy. I mean, why do ya need 4 claw shields? Isn’t 2 enough? They could’ve added at least a third head sculpt, perhaps a smiling head

i hope they do concept thundercats too , i think its an awesome line tho one grip would be the movement needs better range and some issues with QC

I thought that because it was version 2 it would have hidden the rivets on the knees and elbows

I’m a little confused, would you say ver. 1 is the Matty collector version and ver. 2 is by Super7? Or did super7 created two versions?

Great comparison with Matty version. Is there only 1 release of the Super7 Lion-O or did they make any mistakes in the production that caused them to issue a newer version? I know they did a booster pack with new parts for Panthro and Jackalman but were there any errors corrected on Lion-O in later production?

Weirdly my Ultimate Lion-O came with the dagger of omens stuck in cartoon gloves and it removes nicely, however it doesn't fit as well in the fur glove. Wonder why the inconsistency.

Is Super7 really worth it? Been hearing a lot of bad reviews now. Pre-ordered the ultimate's gi joes and people are trashing it

I really love this figure but the articulation is a bit off

The small Sword of Omens included in the Super7 version is by far superior to Matty Collector’s.

Definitely leagues better than the Bandai one from 2011.

The sword of omens from that bandai version, especially the SDCC metal chrome version, was by far the best sword of omens we have ever gotten (even though it didn't have the excellent paint job that super 7 has here)

@@Shorai_3 I said the San-diego Comicon metal chrome version, not the plastic, standard version. Look it up. You're right about the plastic version being very easily warped and bendy, that was definately annoying - however in terms of actual dimensions and proportions of the blade, it was still better than the stick thin, tooth pick version of the super 7 sword. I have noticed though the sword that comes with Jaga - the proportions Jaga's sword has seem to be a bit better than the one that comes with the Lion-o figure.

2.0? As in Super7's first release after Mattel's, or has Super7 had another crack at the figure?

Several commentators stated the same question: was there a Super7 Lion-o version 1 then? If so, were there something wrong with it? Or is version 1 the Matty Collection version?

I think there's only been a version 2, like the version 2 Mumm-Ra I guess the idea was that the Matty Collector had the version 1 and they used the same molds and added new additional headsculpts and new accessories that make them the version 2?

Im holding out hope that we get a Version 3 Lion-O cause I think when you compare him with the later released Thundercats figures, this Lion-O looks a bit more simple and doesn't look as cartoon accurate

To be honest there really isn't a huge difference. If you got the Matty collector version you can skip this bullshit figure.

@@TheReviewSpot I have the Mattel figs apart from Pumyra, she's a giant. I've been collecting the Super7 figs but again, I didn't get Pumyra because she's still too tall. Cracker is another character I've passed on. I haven't taken the plunge on the Thundertank either.

So "version 2" is really a rerelease of version 1...?

The rest of the belt and the trim on the boots is pretty sloppy and from what I've seen it's across the board. Super7 is treating Thundercats like the red headed step child compared to their TMNT line. Lots and lots of issues and figures delayed over 2 years only to show up looking like they were painted by a monkey during an earthquake. $55 US is too much to pay for sub par quality control.

Mattel lion-o is better then Super 7

You say that the blade should not be that wide , but I think you have missed the point here - with the super7 version, the blade is FAR TOO thin! And also too short. In terms of blade proportion, the metal chrome version from 2012 SDCC bandai version was the best we have ever gotten. The super 7 sword has the best handle and hilt design and paint job, that's absolutely true . But the blade? They got it way too thin and too short....completely ruined the overall sword for me. If they had gotten in just a bit wider and longer, it would have been spot on.

No stands :( . So no psssst branding :(

$50 price tag. $15 quality & articulation. Who does Super7 think they are? Easy pass (for that price)

These are great but way over priced. I cancelled a few of the lesser characters because I'm not prepared to spend that much on characters who aren't the main ones. Super 7 seriously needs some perspective on these prices.
