1)He says to remember the numbers 21 Bent 22 B Bent --- 23 L Linear --- 31 Trigonal pyramidal 32 T T-shape --- 41 See-Saw 42 S Square planer 51 Square pyramid 2) Here the left side of digits represents no. of bonding pairs and right side represents no. of lone pairs. Example- 22 means molecule with 2 bond pairs and 2 lone pairs respectively. 3) Then he says to write B, L, T, S in the respective columns made. Here, B,L,T,S represents the starting alphabet of the shape. 4) Now, write the shapes with respect to the numbers as given. Example- B for Bent (21 and 22), L for Linear (23), T for a) Trigonal pyramidal (31) and b) T-Shape (32) and so on. 5) Then he tells the trick to learn shape of molecules with no lone pairs. For this remember the numbers 20 Linear 30 Trigonal planar 40 Tetrahedral 50 Trigonal bipyramidal 60 Octahedral 6) Here also left side represents bond pairs and right side represents lone pairs (0 in all) 7)He says you can remember the shape using numbers. 8) It is as followed -: 2 means Linear 3 means Tri, so Trigonal planar 4 means Tetra, so Tetrahedral 5 means Tri+Bi (2+3), so TRIgonal BIpyramidal 6 means Octa, so Octahedral I hope this helps. Now, you don't need no subtitles. 👍🏻
